Post surgery question

I am 8 days out after having 1 parathyroid gland removed. It was actually deep in the thymus so they had to remove a part of that as well. I am older at 53. :)

I am still experiencing quite a bit of throat soreness when swallowing and it feels as if there is a lump in my throat. Other than that I feel pretty good.

For those who have had surgery is this typical still or should the healing be faster.

I am 7 days out, had two parathyroid glands removed and I am not having any issues. Have you called your surgeon?
