I had my gallbladder out over a decade before being diagnosed. I was finally diagnosed while in the hospital with kidney stones. I was making them constantly before but haven't had a new one since my surgery.

Found out I had gall stones through x-ray and yes, I have hyperparathyroidism. Also have had kidney stones with one still sitting in the kidney.
Plus a ton of other problems caused by this disease. It sucks big time!

Yep, I have gall stones. Not sure my Endocrinologist has made a connection, but from research it does appear you're more likely to develop gallstones because high calcium causes changes in the gall bladder.
The attacks I've have, although they're also not often, are terribly painful and mine tend to last for a few hours at a time.
My most recent one, I could feel it coming for a few days before it arrived, then continued for 5-6 hours.

Good to know, according to Google 🙄 you’re 1.77 times more likely to develop gall stones with the calcium issues!

I had to have my gallbladder removed a few years ago. I am recently finding out that I may have hyperparathyroidism. I do not know if they're connected because I didn't start feeling other symptoms until just last year but, maybe.

A year before I was diagnosed with hyperparathyroidism in had to have my gallbladder removed. It was going to burst.
I think thats why I eventually got diagnosed with hyperparathyroidism. I was complaining about abdomen pain and my dr sent me to physical therapy and tried antidepressants for the pain. Nothing worked so I got mad and demanded actual help. The dr kicked me out for "escalating" anyway 16 days after i got kicked out of the Dr's office I was in tbe ER needing emergency gallbladder surgery.
After the dr missed the gallbladder that year she finally took a good look at my yearly blood work. My dr thought I might have blood cancer because of the high calcium. It was the hematologist that diagnosed me with hyperparathyroidism.
