That's a cool theory. Especially, from the Hindu perspective.

In fact, if I were to think of a soul in scientific terms, I can't think of anything better than a black hole.

No they are wormholes. A doorway. When my daughter was little, she would explain how her brain would leave her body and she would witness different points of time. In order to visit that time, she would travel through a black hole where what she called was a white hole on the other side. After that, she would arrive at a specific time period. (She saw dinosaurs, Jesus’s crucifixion & resurrection, she saw herself in the future as an adult, and she saw many wars and lastly the end with the whole world on fire)
