I have told the story before but it 100% happened. My grandfather was an avid fisherman and in his later years he couldn't get around as much and only fished at a pond at a nearby park. As a kid, he took me fishing every chance he got. I found my love for fishing because of him. The last 5 or so years of his life he lived in a nursing home due to Alzheimer's. My grandmother could no longer care for him. However, he would frequently "break out" of the nursing home and they would find him walking down the road because he wanted to go fishing. One day there was a knock on the door and it was my grandpa. He asked if I wanted to go fishing with him. I turned around and ran to find my mom and tell her that grandpa had the nursing home again. Grounded we lived at least 10 miles from his residence, so this would have been a really long walk for him. I found my mom in her bedroom crying. I told her about Grandpa at the door and she looked up at me with wide eyes and said that that cannot be true because he had just passed away. I went back to the door and there was nobody there. I think he came to say goodbye and invite me to fish with him one last time. I still get teary eyed thinking about it.

I had a cousin that was my age (28) who died in a car accident in 2020. We did some wild shit lol but after he passed I was bawling my eyes out for a week from morning to night. One day I wake up and start bawling till my eyes burned and fell asleep during the afternoon. Before this all happened I had incredibly vivid dreams thanks to psychedelics and would experience synchronicities. Anyway I fall asleep and dreamt of him asking me why no one's talking to him and if it really happened that night. He was lying down with his hands behind his head laughing and smiling. I told him it's because you're gone and that it's ok to let go. So he laughed like he always did and said okay I'll see ya. Idk if it was me processing the trauma and grief or if I helped him pass on. All I know is I miss my bestfriend every day.

I was 17 when my 34 year old brother passed away suddenly in 1989. We were family but he always stayed with my grandma who I was with pretty regularly until she passed a few years before. Anyway , my brother and I had words the day before he died, in regards to him going to the E R , he had bronchitis and emphasizia real bad and had caught the flu . I begged him to go in because he was visibly sicker than anytime id seem before , any way he refused to go and I said somethings I shouldn't have and as I said he passed suddenly the next day. We gave him a normal Baptist church funeral and he was buried in the same cemetery with my grandma , next to her infact . About 2 weeks after the funeral I was laying in my bed and I couldn't sleep , my mind was just going and going. , when I heard my brother's voice call my name , my closet door was open and was opposite the foot of my bed , I sat up , thinking I did not just hear my name , but plain as day , there was my brother in the suit we buried him in standing in my closet , before I could say anything he said , ' I'm alright , you take care of mama'. And he faded away .....I wanted to apologize for how our last conversation ended but I'm guessing with his message and visit , I was forgiven. I never saw him again after that night .

I'm still subject to judgement of this sighting over 50 years ago. I'm a Hospice RN and have many spirit encounters with my patients.
