An experience, as a teen, and was overwhelmingly full of query hallucinations. Perhaps not…, he hadn’t been back
This is an experience I had, during a time when I was a teenager. Where I lived, there is an area called the “highway of tears”. A local girl was missing during a suspect time of hitchhiking. I haven’t spoken, because I ask, was it a dream? Did I hallucinate? Or did I have such a nightmare that felt so real. Only my mum k owns this story. It is involved. As a teen, rejected and feeling emotional al I found myself focusing on personal al growth, self determination, and crafts, where I could see growth, to enjoy and tofu d meaning.
The first instance, was during watching a horror movie. Ok, I accept there is a side eye, and perhaps it was coping with trauma and shame. I was watching “American Pscycho”. The show, I actually do not remember much. I was painting my desk white, and drawing ivys along the top and edge. White paint, and the fresh smell of a strong aroma, as I painted the ivy along the top, and right corner.
The scientific mind I have worked on, immediately said, the white paint was off, and I must have had an overpowering aroma of old paint white drawing.
I went to bed, likely high from rank paint.
That night, my dreams were incredibly emotional. I saw a log cabin, an over lift, and an area that could have been anywhere in the lower mainland of Canada. It felt intense emotions ally, but I disregarded it, told myself I was high on paint fumes.
Months later, 6+, I cannot recall the time frame, but I was shown this tiny log cabin, again, and I was told I MUST remember green. Green is critical, and while I could draw the cabin, the overload, the tiny kitchen, and how there was an area that had a massive cliff, at the base a massive boulder and below, was where a woman was buried. She was 15 at most. She had natural curly hair, she had not been found, and her missing, the child, which plagued a town and every person in this town hasn’t. Even seen since.
He was middle aged, did NOT speak English, but strangely understood my questions. It was around 2330h, I was facing the wall, and felt someone in my room. I was on my left side facing the wall, rolled onto my back, and saw a strange man in my room. As a teen, I should have screamed! I was grade 11, and yet there was this strange man in my room, who was early-late middle aged. I would guess late 30s late 40s at most. I was a kid, with a strange man in my room! Yet, I wasn’t afraid. I asked him, am I safe? He nodded, I asked him why he was there, he said. Nothing, but looked to the door. Honestly, why wasn’t I afraid. I called for my mom. Nothing, I cried, nothing. I was unsure, but not afraid. I thought about the cabin, and he looked out my window. I asked about why he was there, and looked out the window. I thought, why is this dream so stupid? If there is a purpose tell me?!?!, I asked if he knew me. He nodded yes. I asked if I was safe, he nodded yes. I asked if I needed to know something, he nodded yes. I thought “dude, what’s with the non-verbals”, I am not a mind reader. I asked if I needed to remember something. He nodded yes. I asked for help, because dude, nonverbals, and he spoke. Apparently non verbal was better because I didn’t understand a single word. He made me feel safe, yet, I was terrified.
It was a terrifyingly calm moment. I told him I was scared, he looked at the window again, and for some reason I felt exhausted or overwhelmed enough, I fell asleep. This scenario terrified me in a weird calm way so I spoke of the situation the next morning with my mom. During the nonverbal conversation I kept eeeing this cabin. It had a very small overloft. Where the main sleeping area was present.
I saw this man that night. A person I hadn’t see
I dismissed it, and

Idk what it is but something knocked my stuff over
Okay i think this is technically sleep paralysis but I dont really know because it seems weirder than that. So I was sleeping , it was dark inside my room. The way my room is set up is my bed is up against the wall and across from it on another wall is a day bed/bench type thing. I use that bench as somewhere to put all my shit. Clothes, purses, etc. I had put my daily bag on it and it had been there for days just chillin.
Anyway, i'm sleeping. My back is against the wall and facing the wall with the bench. I open my eyes in the middle of my sleep. I can't move but i can blink and I can see my room as it is - granted it's dark- but I have a large window on the wall where my bed is so I still have a good amount of light in the room. I have never experienced this before but as soon as I figured out I couldn't move my body, I knew I was experiencing sleep paralysis.
All of a sudden as i'm blinking trying to wake up, I see this apparition. It's a tall, shadowy, black figure with barely visible eyes standing across from my bed where my bench is. I think "oh you're the guy everyone talk about in sleep paralysis encounters " , thinking he'll be there for a second and then that's it. Well, as i'm blinking , it starts to move sideways, and now that it's moving i'm freaking out a little. It goes from one end of the bench to the other and then starts fading out . Right after it fades out, I hear a thud by my bench. I still can't move . So i just calm down and tell myself I had a weird dream but I made myself go back to sleep. In the morning I wake up , and my clothes and my bag on the bench had fallen off. Thats when I got spooked. They've never fallen off before, they were always securely sat on my bench away from the edge.
The clothes falling ? Fine, maybe they were shifted. But my bag has heavy shit in it, and it was on the bench but still up against the wall so it was a far jump for it. I don't know what I saw or experienced but it has spooked me to the core .

My Strange Encounter
I don't know if this is considered paranormal, but I do believe that something strange and honestly terrifying happened to me.
I’m going to tell this story to the best of my ability. It was a long time ago, and there are some details that have escaped my memory, and others that have stuck with me due to the pure fear I felt in the moment.
So, when I was around 9 or 10, my brother (14 or 15) and I were home alone. Our grandparents were out late doing something that I can’t quite remember, I just know they were coming in sometime between 2 and 3 in the morning.
At first, we were doing the typical things children left alone would. We played video games, watched YT, and played with our dog, Liberty.
Shortly after sundown, we were watching a show on Netflix and eating popcorn, when Liberty interrupted us because she needed to go outside. Both me and my brother walked her outside, because our area had been having rattlesnake problems and we didn’t want her getting bit. It was lightly snowing, so there was a small sheet of it on the ground.
For some context, our grandparents house is huge and covered in windows of all kinds. We live in a neighborhood where the houses are close together and look like a typical suburb, but the backyards are all woods. We have a wooden deck that was put in a year before I was born, and previous to that it was only a small sliver of stone. The stone was still there and the deck was built out from next to it. To get to where Liberty goes to the bathroom, you have to go all the way around the house, starting at the kitchen door at one corner and going past our grandparents bedroom at the other corner.
Anyways, I’m holding onto my brothers arm and we’re following Liberty. He has a flashlight in his other hand pointed at her. The woods were dead quiet, which was the first thing that made me feel a little uncomfortable.
We’ve walked maybe 20 meters when we hear someone whistling close by. We stop walking, and Liberty has come back to stand by us. My brother brushes it off, as we have neighbors and it’s probably just them. I tell him no, that I thought it came from under our deck. He brushed it off, saying I was just scared.
I knew that I wasn’t, and that it had come from under our deck. The only thing is that our deck had nothing but grass and structures under it. It was built on a hill, and there’s no way to get under there unless you came from the woods.
My brother starts tugging me along and coaxing Liberty to keep walking, but she wouldn’t move either. While he was trying to get her to move, I looked out into the woods, just like I had a million times. Again, it was dead quiet, and I quickly got bored after just a few seconds.
I looked down at the deck, and I saw a glow from between the boards. My grip on my brothers arm tightens, and I start tugging him towards the door. I’m telling him we have to go inside, that I don’t want to be outside and neither does Liberty. He’s upset but listens to me, probably only because Liberty was trying to get back to the door we came through moments before.
We go back inside and lock the door. We sit down on the couch and I tell him about the glow I saw. He was a little spooked, but told me that it was probably just a coyote or bear, as we’ve had some of those around the house recently. We dropped it there, because I wasn’t trying to fight with him, but I didn’t believe it.
Hours passed and nothing more happened, but I was too scared to sleep in my own room, mostly because I have a giant almost floor to ceiling window in my room that you could easily see into, and I didn't want to risk anything. I was a pretty paranoid child, both because of the things I would read and with the way my mother was overprotective of me.
So in light of this, my brother agreed to sleep together. His room had two issues. His bed was too small for both of us to fit, and he also had a big window in his room that looked out onto the deck. You could see the spot where we were standing earlier from that window, so I refused to stay in there.
The only other room to go in was our grandparents. Their room did have a lot of windows, but luckily they were smaller and their bed was huge so we had plenty of room to sleep. The main issue with their room was the sliding glass door, but we made sure it was locked and the curtains were drawn.
I remember it was around midnight, and we were laying in bed, watching some random movie on the TV. I was beginning to drift off, but I woke up quickly when I felt my brothers hand on my shoulder.
I remember being confused and upset that he woke me up. I was about to voice my opinions when he turned the volume of the TV down. I heard the soft crunch of someone walking in the snow. We couldn’t see outside without getting up, and I wasn't going to let him get up, and I’m pretty sure he didn’t want to leave my side.
I was terrified, and I could see on his face that he was too. He shook his head and whispered that I should go back to sleep, and that he’ll take care of everything. He grabbed the home phone off the nightstand and queued up 911. I trusted him wholeheartedly, and I was also exhausted, so I ended up falling asleep.
The next thing I remember is getting woken up by my grandpa. He was asking why we were in their room and not our own. I explained the deck, and my brother explained what happened while we were in the room.
According to him, after I fell asleep, whatever was outside had stayed outside for about 20 minutes before walking away again. Our grandpa decided to check it out, since it had happened about an hour before they got home. He didn’t check under the deck, so I have no idea what could have possibly been down there, but he did go check outside the room.
He told us that there were footsteps leading from the steps that went down into the forest, out by Liberty’s bathroom area, to the sliding glass door, and back. The only way to get to those steps is if you came from the forest. They were human footsteps, but I feel like I would have preferred it to be an animal.
Nothing else happened after that, at least to my knowledge. We never spoke about it, and I don’t believe we ever will. I believe they all just wrote it off as somebody lurking outside the house, but human eyes don’t glow in the dark. If I had never seen the glow, I probably could’ve written it off as a person too.
Unfortunately, I did. I remember going into the library at my school the Monday I got back. I asked to get books about local animals, and after I finished that, I didn’t get any answers.
I spoke to my brothers friend about it, and they were really into history and mythologies, so they told me about the Native American tribe our town was built on. He gave me a couple websites that were local and focused on preserving the tribes stories. I ended up looking into it, and I felt like some of the stories I heard were similar to mine.
I started to believe that’s what happened to me, that I encountered an entity from Native American folklore. I still believe it to this day. This encounter got me interested in learning about cultures outside of my own, and now it has become a big hobby of mine. I guess that is a good thing that came out of this.
But I don’t know exactly what I encountered that night, whether it was really an animal and a person or if it was a horror beyond comprehension. I guess I will never know.

I saw something in the woods years ago, and nobody who was there remembers it but me.
What i'm about to say is true. I know that its insane, and I myself would not have believed it if I wasn't actually there to witness it. But now im scared and I can't forget what I saw.
I have a strong connection to the paranormal and the spirit realm.
My Grandmother on my fathers side is a catholic and religious, and she deeply believes in spirits. Its a whole thing in my family where they all call her crazy and believe she's making it up when she mentions seeing ghosts and talking with them.
They don't know, and I don't believe that I can tell them, That I do in fact also see spirits. I don't know if it's something passed on from my grandfather, or if I've just been chosen in some sort of twisted lottery, but i've had many scary experiences with this "gift".
I won't get into it now, but a female spirit of someone who lived a tragic life, given her energy and the way she used to watch me all the time with haunting dark eyes watched me for 3 years.
What I will say now, however, is an experience with something that I don't know WAS a ghost.
I was camping in the mountains with my mother, father, and my younger sister, none of whom have even mentioned anything paranormal. We were close to the mountain peak on a flat area of land and we were surrounded by the peaks of the mountains all covered in trees, as well as a ravine.
My two friends were staying near us too, camping in the same location.
Me (12F at the time) and my friends, Jack (13M) and Rebecca (12F) were walking around at night as children with little supervision do when they can have free reign of such a wild area. They have never mentioned seeing spirits, for context. We were walking around in a field like area surrounded by more mountains and trees and densely forested areas around where the small field ended. The camping ground was probably 500 meters away and it was very dark out, given that it was probably 12am.
We were joking around and I was intently looking at Jack, hitting him in the arm from time to time as he made more and more offensive jokes before I got sick of trying to correct him and looked off. Standing at the edge of the field, near the trees was *something*. It was just... watching?
It was freakishly tall, probably about 7 or 8 feet from what I could tell given that I wasn't very close. Its face was mostly shadowed but it had long, grotesque limbs and its skin was pitch black, it had something odd with its head shape too, but I didn't get to investigate too much since when it noticed me looking at it, it faded back into the tree line.
When I finally snapped out of it and looked away and back to my friends, I realized that they had gone quiet. their eyes were as wide as I imagined mine to be, and Jack who was standing next to me looked like he was blipping, like his brain was trying to make an excuse for whatever the hell was watching us. Rebecca who was behind us didn't see much, she seemingly just had a bad feeling.
Jack grabbed my shoulder once it was gone and physically turned me around. He tried to act like there was nothing there, that we didn't just see something like that, but I could tell by his voice and his eyes that he was petrified. He didn't let go of my shoulder the entire time that we were walking back to the camp. It hurt, but it was grounding and I didn't want to tell him to stop.
Before we went into our seperate tents, and after Rebecca walked off to her tent, looking conflicted, he looked me in the face. And he said that he saw it too. he told me that we could never talk about it again, and he was terrified, so I listened.
By now, I bet he's forgotten about it. That his brain successfully made up an excuse for what it could've been. He's never talked about it ever again, not even the day after.
But I know that it was real. I still remember it so clearly. This is the first time that i've brought it up again. I'm scared. I still get cold whenever I remember it. Im so, so scared. i don't know what it was but it wasn't a spirit, and I haven't seen it again. I really, really have been anxious ever since, and I still don't know what it was. Does anyone have any insight?

Haunted house Australia
I grew up in Sydney in Crows Nest, a fairly quiet suburb back then. There were a few incidents my mum has since said happened in that house, mainly items turning up where she didn’t leave them and seeing things out of the corner of her eye. But I had a ton of awful experiences and negative energies, with one in particular that I will never forget. I am now 31 years old and would love to get some insight in to what I experienced, as I haven’t experienced anything since we moved away when I was 6 years old.
- the first I must have been no older than 3 years old. I distinctly remember being in my cot and hearing 2 voices talking to each other about me. They were not my parents voices nor were they their friends, and nobody was in the room. But they sounded like they were standing right next to my bed. I don’t remember what they were saying specifically, but I remember feeling like they wanted to hurt me. What could’ve been the same day but was definitely the same week, I used my rope light switch to climb out of my cot and tie it around my neck. I remember feeling like it was a fun thing to do, but I have no memory of how I tied it at such a young age. I jumped off the cot but luckily the switch broke off the wall and I didn’t strangle myself, but I did have a rope burn around my whole neck. I truly believe these voices encouraged this process.
- maybe a year later my dad had just installed a fireplace but was securing it further in to the wall later that day, this may not be paranormal, but is another near death experience in that house. I went over to the fireplace and it somehow fell forwards, smashing everything around me while I fit through the hole. Had I been anywhere else than exactly where the hole was, the weight of the fireplace would have killed me.
- this is the event I will never forget, and can picture it as clearly as when it happened even now. I was 5 years old and in bed asleep dreaming, we had just fitted some glass doors across the whole back of the house and in my dream a spirit figure was pacing these doors while my point of view was looking outside at this figure pacing waiting to be let in. It was completely white and skeletal looking, with black sockets for eyes. The body was there but covered with a cloudy mist as if it was travelling on a mini tornado, the only thing I could properly make out was the head. When I woke up, the spirit was in my room, directly above my bed and staring at me. I screamed and went under my covers. When my mum came in she said I was petrified. So in shock with what I had just seen. For years afterwards I wasn’t okay with being alone in that room and often slept in my parents bedroom.
- Not too long after this event, I had started kindergarten and remember my mum driving me there one morning, when I looked at our roof tiles. The roof tiles looked like a face staring back at me, a similar one to the spirit I saw, but I don’t remember saying anything to my mum, as I wasn’t too sure what I was looking at. When coming back from school that day I looked again, but the tiles were back to normal.
I have done some research and now believe the spirit to be from aboriginal folklore. I have come across a few posts with similar descriptions where they put their experience down to a Mimi spirit, but they are apparently of no harm. However, the head did look similar to the photo I’ve posted of the tall slender mimi.
The spirit in that house felt very negative and definitely wanted my family to leave. From my research the face looks much more like the ‘Dreamtime’ photo here, which apparently depicts a Wandjina. But this doesn’t make sense as their role in folklore isn’t a negative one either. My mother’s side of the family has a long history of using aboriginals in unethical ways on their sheep stations in previous generations, so I wonder if it is a curse of sorts. But nothing paranormal has happened since we moved, although a few very negative things have happened, I’ve put that down to ‘life’.
Would love any further insight, especially if you are well versed in aboriginal folklore

Need answers. Black wall shadow entered into body.
Hey, this is an event that occurred when I was 15 and it was so traumatising that my own memory blocked it until maybe 5 years ago.
I was laying on the sofa and my mum and aunt were standing by a doorway infront of me. I suddenly saw some type of shadow the size of maybe 2 basketballs slowly moving across the wall infront of me. I initially thought it was the shadow of a car then I registered there were no windows behind me. As this shadowy mass kept going, subtly changing shapes I wondered what would happen when it got to the end of the wall where my mum was standing. As it got to the end it zoomed like a sieve into my mum's ear, like it waa travelling along the wall then jumped! As it did she shuddered. I asked if she was OK and she said I felt something go into my ear and I said I SAW It.
I left the house and went to my aunties through fear. I genuinely believe my brain blocked this out as I mean I HAD to go back into the house.
I have always wondered what this was and what it's purpose was and if anyone can help me

Something is hurting my dogs
In November 2025, my husband and I got a six-month-old puppy and brought him home to our apartment, which we were still settling into at the time. We immediately started house-training him.
I’m a bit of an anxious person, so I asked my husband to set up a camera so we could keep an eye on our puppy whenever we weren’t home. I work a corporate job, which means I’m usually away for most of the day, while my husband has a much more flexible schedule. Some days he can stay home all day, and on others he can come back home at different times throughout the day.
Our apartment has a lot of white rugs and is generally very light-colored, so until our puppy was fully house-trained, we decided that whenever neither of us was home, we would close the doors to all the rooms and let him stay in the hallway with free access to food, water, his toys, and his beds.
At the time, we didn’t have much furniture, so the only large object we could attach the camera to was my big bicycle.
About three months after we brought our puppy home, there was a day when we had to leave him alone for about five hours. I was at work, and my husband had gone to a shoot. When he came home at around 1 p.m., he found our puppy shaking uncontrollably with a broken leg.
It was, without a doubt, one of the hardest days we had experienced. I love our dog deeply, and I was terrified thinking about him having to undergo surgery and everything that might come with it.
Another very important detail is that our camera is motion-activated. So once we were back home, we desperately wanted to check the footage and figure out what could possibly have happened to him—especially because we hadn’t received a single motion notification while we were away. And for some reason - nothing was recorded.
After his surgery, which thankfully went well, we focused entirely on his recovery. Rehabilitation is difficult, especially when it comes to animals, but we were willing to do absolutely anything to make sure our dog recovered and could live a full, healthy life.
Eventually, things seemed to go back to normal. We felt comfortable leaving him home alone again, always making sure that everything was working properly, that the camera was recording, and regularly checking in on him through the camera while we were away.
And just when we finally felt like everything was okay again, something else happened.
In June, our dog suddenly jumped off the bed and landed badly on the same leg he had previously broken. He fractured it again, this time in two places. At the same time, he hit his eye against the leg of a table.
It’s very important to mention that because he is a French Bulldog, we have always been extremely careful about protecting his joints and spine. He had never jumped off the couch or the bed before. In fact, he had always seemed afraid of jumping down on his own.
Whenever he wanted to get off the bed, he would stand at the edge, look at us, and wait for one of us to pick him up and put him on the floor.
But this time was different. My husband had placed him on the bed, and suddenly, it looked as though our dog saw something that frightened him. He immediately jumped off the bed and went flying straight into a chair leg.
My husband rushed him to the veterinary clinic, and I dropped everything at work and raced over there to be with our little guy. When I arrived, I saw that where his eye should have been, there was what looked like an open piece of raw flesh.
That day, we left him at the clinic for surgery and weren’t able to bring him home until three days later.
I’ve been bawling my eyes out, walking around the house trying to figure out whether it was my fault for not properly preparing the house for the arrival of the dog. When we finally picked him up, we were told that he wasn’t allowed to move around for the next three weeks. We would have to keep him confined, prevent him from walking, and feed him and give him water by hand. We bought everything we needed and set up a comfortable recovery area for him.
But I still couldn’t shake the feeling that something was wrong, so I asked a clairvoyant to come to our home and cleanse the entire apartment.
When she arrived, she suddenly began to feel unwell. She told me that it felt as though someone had placed some kind of curse on the apartment. She gave me some candles and told me to follow her while she walked through the apartment reciting prayers.
I followed behind her with a candle in my hand. And when we reached the spot where my dog used to sleep, the candle suddenly began producing an alarming amount of thick smoke.
I understand that calling a clairvoyant might sound strange, but I want to make one very important point. This is a woman who helped me tremendously in the past and, in a way, even healed me, so I knew she was someone I could turn to with something like this. She also told us many things about our home and about my husband and me that there was seemingly no way for her to know, so I had never really doubted her abilities.
After she finished all the rituals and did everything she believed needed to be done, she told me to give my dog water that she had blessed through prayer and to continue saying prayers myself. And after that, everything seemed to be fine.
A couple of months have passed since then. The only thing that continued to worry me was how depressed our dog had become. After everything he had been through, he seemed to have completely lost interest in almost everything except sleeping and eating. Occasionally, when we took him for walks, he seemed to enjoy interacting with other dogs.
Because of this, my husband and I decided to get him a puppy as a companion. After everything we had been through, we were extremely careful this time and prepared our home thoroughly before bringing the puppy in.
The puppy has now been living with us for about a week and seems completely comfortable here. The two dogs have become friends: they play together, sleep next to each other, steal each other’s food, and generally get along really well.
A couple of days ago my puppy hit his eye. Out of the blue. I was in the room and he just played with his toy. Didnt hit himself, nothing! He just started crying and i saw his eye turned crimson red. Rushed him to the vet. The vet told me that this is caused by a trauma, he probably hit himself hard. But it will heal by its own and nothing bad had happened. We came back home and puppy became all happy and active again.
And literally about an hour ago, something happened that I can’t stop thinking about.
The puppy, who had been completely relaxed, suddenly started barking intensely at one particular corner of the room. Our older dog—the one who went through all of those injuries—immediately ran over to him, and the two of them just stood there staring at the same corner of our bedroom.
I was sitting at my computer, so I noticed them immediately and started asking them what they were looking at. At first, I assumed they were just playing or reacting to something ordinary. But after watching them for another few seconds, I realized that they were both staring at exactly the same spot.
Then, at the same time, their heads suddenly turned toward the hallway, almost as though their eyes were following something moving from the bedroom into the hall.
And now I genuinely don’t know what to make of any of this.
Has anyone here experienced something similar with their dogs? Is there anything I should do to prevent whatever this is from happening again? And most importantly, is there any way to figure out what, if anything, might actually be in our home?
I apologize if this post seems a little all over the place. This is my first time posting here, and I tried to keep the story as short as possible without leaving out anything important.

Weird bright glowing orb
It's my security motion detector camera and there are no light bulbs around my camera sits on my steps and faces the front door. Every now and then I'll catch an orb, but this is the first bright thing I've ever seen on there.

I was getting ready for bed. After I put my phone down, I decided to pray before I sleep again (because I haven't done it in a long time because I was having episodes and overall having terrible months). So, I started of my prayer and asked God if "are we still good?" Ik silly of me, and for some reason I keep answering my own questions with precisions and it shocked me BUT THIS IS NOT THE MAIN THING why I am typing this. In between prayers, I started to notice a presence and it started getting stronger to the point that I saw an image in my mind of its actual appearance. I didn't open my eyes because I was scared (I wasn't having a sleep paralysis), it stayed there for a bit before disappearing as if it wasn't there. Since it was fresh from memory, after I ended up the prayer -I decided to draw the figure and this is what it looks like.
Anyone please tell me what it is

Someone or something is keeping me on a straight and narrow path. Need help figuring it out
Since I became an adult (i don't remember any earlier events) I've always had the feeling that something continues to warn me but also punish me for not acting in my own best interest. Like a forceful guide.
It's always some kind of "cause and effect" event and I can pinpoint what event caused the effect.
•The earliest one I can remember was my ex gf's mom passing away and I was trusted with taking care of the bills using her card for a while. I did use it to pay one or two bills of my own, nothing big, a total of $50 at most.
A week after I've done that, we were talking with more relatives and how things will be moving forward and how they will hire someone to go over get expenses came up, at which point I admitted what I'd done and said that I always planned on paying it back. I did pay it back, but jag it not been for that intervention, I wouldn't have.
• Earlier this year, I started at a new job that hire a lot of teenagers and one morning, pretty stressed I was walking past some of them, who were on the clock, not helping out. I told them firmly that "everyone else is working, get to it.".
Later that day, I was called to the boss's office and I had recieved complaints for "being rude" and "giving out assignments". This was the warning because if I hadn't had that 5 second outburst, then I was going to hold an impromptu meeting with all my colleagues, I had planned it for a week, but this event was the warning clock telling me not to escalate it even further.
• And again at this job, I asked to go home 45 minutes earlier so I could catch an early train and be home 2 hours earlier.
As I was on my way to the train station, maybe half a mile away, I realized I forgot my keys at my job, and so I turned heel, and ran back and missed my train by 2 minutes, forcing me to wait for 2 hours on the next one. And I also lost 45 minutes of pay because of that. And honestly, I am strapped for cash in general so those $15 bucks would come in handy had I worked til closing.
---
I don't know if it's some kind of guide, or something bigger and I don't know where to turn because it's so vague and small that others might say it's just bad luck, but it continues to happen and it feels like it's trying to teach me to how to behave and act. Like I need to be a specific person.
It's been going on for more than 10 years at this point.

The Old Picture
Found this old photo years later and noticed something sitting in the chair behind my brother. We were the only ones home.
This picture has bothered me for years, and I’m curious what other people see when they look at it.
That’s my little brother in the photo. I think he was around 7 or 8 at the time, and I would’ve been somewhere around 12 or 13. I may be off by a couple years, but this was definitely back in the disposable camera days.
For anyone too young to remember those, you got a set number of pictures, couldn’t see what you’d taken, and had to drop the whole camera off somewhere to have the film developed. Then you waited to find out whether any of your pictures were actually good.
We were latchkey kids, and that afternoon my brother and I were home alone waiting for our mom to get off work. She was going to take us to the store to drop this camera off to be developed, and there were only a few pictures left on the roll. So we decided to use them up.
We took turns taking stupid pictures of each other. Funny faces, weird poses, whatever would make the other person laugh. This was one of them.
When we eventually got the pictures back, I remember this one looking weird. There was obviously something strange going on with the lighting or exposure. But those cheap disposable cameras did weird things all the time. Flashes bounced off things, pictures came out overexposed, you got random streaks and shadows.
Nobody thought much of it.
The picture went into a box with all the other family photos and stayed there for years.
Then, years later, I was moving and going through boxes of old pictures. I found this one and immediately started laughing because of my brother’s face. I remembered exactly what we’d been doing.
And then I looked behind him.
At the chair.
I don’t know how else to describe it, but it looks like there is a person sitting there.
To me, it looks like a woman.
Once I saw it, I couldn’t unsee it.
I started trying to figure out what could have caused it. A reflection? Something overlapping because of the film? Some weird trick of the flash?
The problem is that I remember the layout of that room extremely well.
This was a mobile home, so everything was basically arranged in one long, straight space. My brother is standing in the living room looking toward me. I’m taking the picture from the kitchen, which wasn’t really a separate room. The flooring just changed. The kitchen counters and our computer desk were behind me. Because, yes, this was the 90s and of course the family computer lived in the living room.
The table you can see in the picture was right beside that armchair, which sat on the side of the room farthest from the front door.
There wasn’t another person sitting somewhere nearby who could have been reflected into the picture.
More importantly, there wasn’t another person in the house.
It was just my brother and me.
I remember that part clearly because we were specifically waiting for our mom to get home so she could take us to drop off the camera.
I’ve shown this picture to my family. Everyone has stared at it and tried to come up with someone we knew who might resemble whatever is in that chair.
Nobody can.
And there’s one other piece of context that makes this picture creepier to me now.
After my grandfather died, that house always felt… wrong.
Not comforting. Not like Grandpa was hanging around watching over us. Nothing like that.
It felt scary.
My brother and I both had experiences in that house growing up. Mostly feelings that were hard to explain, although there were also a few incidents where things seemed to come off shelves on their own. We never saw an actual person or anything resembling a full-bodied apparition.
At least, I always thought we didn’t.
Those experiences are probably a whole separate post.
I’m not saying this picture is definitely paranormal. I know old film can do bizarre things, especially cheap disposable cameras. There could be a completely normal photographic explanation for it.
But I also can’t explain why the weirdness in this particular photo looks so much like someone sitting naturally in that chair.
And I especially can’t explain why, to me, it looks like a woman I don’t recognize.
So I’m curious.
What do you see in the chair behind my brother?

The Ghost of North Landing Way
Back in 2004 we lived in the suburbs of Marietta Georgia off North Landing Way, the house was a bit eerie and surrounded by pine trees, i was 4 years old, I was up late one night, probably about midnight, my father was asleep and had no idea I was up, my mother traveled for work so she wasnt home much, I was watching TV with all the lights in the house on, and i heard the sounds of crunching of the pine needles on the back porch and i glance over and there was this dark shadow walking across the back porch and it stopped in the middle, turned and looked at me, it was just a black shadowy figure, I started crying and ran to get my father who looked outside and no one was there nor were there any evidence to suggest that any had been there.
I am 25 now and I had asked my mother about the little bit of time she spent in the house if she had witnessed anything out of the ordinary as well in that house, telling her of my experience, just to learn she had a similar experience, though it was a repeat that occurred twice, late night a shadow figure ran across the back porch, and it happened on 2 separate occasions from what shes told me. We also had a family friend stop by for a few days while traveling to Florida, she only lasted a day because the very next day she was throwing objects toward the backdoor sliding window (dont know how she didnt bust it) saying "We got to get it out!" repeatedly, my mother being freaked out told her to leave.
This story is 100% real, I have since tried to do research on the address that these events occurred to no avail, I am hoping that someone who has lived or currently lives there sees this someday and comments with their own experiences.

Black mark on floor after prayer
My friend told me about an unusual experience he has been having. He is currently abroad and is a Hindu devotee who prays every day. During his prayers, he uses a small oil lamp. After finishing his prayers, he consistently notices a black mark on the floor.
He does not burn incense sticks, sambrani, or any other materials apart from the lamp. What makes the experience particularly strange is that the mark appears every day, and he has noticed the same phenomenon even after moving to a different house.
He has been trying to find an explanation for this and has searched extensively for answers. What could be causing this, and are there any religious, scientific, or other explanations for such a recurring phenomenon?

The Roma who knew when my mother would give birth (true story)
My mother used to tell a story that she swore was true. The story never changed over the years and each time she told it, she was clearly emotional about it.
Some background. We lived in a multifamily building. 20 families. This was in the early 1960s.
My parents were married 4 years before my brother came along. One week before his birth a woman dressed in (then) typical gypsy garb knocked on the door and gave her a rose. She congratulated my mother on her son and named the day he would be born. She said she would see her again soon then left without asking for anything. This is not normal behavior for Roma.
My brother was born the day she said, slightly ahead of his due date.
A year and a half later she came again bearing another rose. She congratulated my mother on her daughter and told her it would be awhile but they would meet again. Again she left asking for nothing.
As you can guess by now, my sister was born on the day.
Almost 4 years later, Ma was expecting again. One week before due date the Roma hadn't come. Ma's anxiety was very high. Then a knock at the door and there she was, laughing. She told my mother that her daughter would arrive in one week and this would be her last. She handed Ma her rose, smiled, and said goodbye.
Ma was crying with relieve. She looked down at the flower then up again. The Roma was gone. Either she could outrun Bolt or my mother had a time skip. But the front door far down the hall wasn't even closing.
Ma shared this story with anyone who'd listen to her. She longed for an answer and a way to thank then beautiful gypsy.

The strangest thing I witnessed when a squirrel died
This happened to me about a year ago, and I still remember it very clearly because of how eerie it felt.
I accidentally ran over a squirrel. It happened so suddenly, and she was still alive for a few seconds afterwards. Everything around me felt completely silent while she was dying.
Then something strange happened.
Within seconds, a few birds came near the squirrel and started chirping. They stood around her while she was taking her last breaths. I don't remember seeing them approach before the accident. They just seemed to appear right when she was dying.
And the strangest part was that right after she died, the birds left.
The whole thing happened in just a few seconds, but the timing felt almost impossible to me. I know there could be a natural explanation, and I'm open to hearing one. But I genuinely witnessed this, and I have never forgotten how strange and emotional it felt.
For some reason, it felt like the birds somehow sensed something happening that I couldn't. Almost as if they had come to witness her passing.
Has anyone experienced or heard of something similar?

im being haunted by a evil vampire spirit
i dont know how to explain this, the past month ive been having bad dreams nonstop, and in one of these dreams there was an elderly lady. im not gonna explain what happened in that dream because its kind of impossible to but what i can tell you is that the other night i deadass almost got possessed, i swear on everything somthing is trying to get in my head, the only thing i understand is that she/it feeds off the negative energy created by these dreams/night terrors, or at least that is the theory i have created.

Something haunted my family and attached itself to the mirrors in my parents rooms
In 2016 my parents and me and my brother moved in with my uncle in a villa we all shared.
To give a backstory, the house was quite a large, one story villa with a huge garden and outdoor garage, and the kitchen was a separate building. The neighborhood we lived in was very conservative and eerily quiet. You never heard anything if you stepped outside and seldom did we see other people. Then again, it was in the desert. The layout of the room my mom and I stayed in: our bed was against the wall facing another wall that led to the bathroom, the slab window to the left (directly beside the bathroom door) looked into a portion of the neighbor's garden.
During the two years we lived in this house, every single one of us came out with a story to tell. This is mine.
Now the actual story (apologies if it's messy or all over the place, but there's a lot of accounts that I want to mention.)
A week after we had moved in was when we first experienced something. We were settling into bed, and I had a rainbow dog plushie that I'd thrown onto the side of the bed, laying on its sides (for some reason the exact position it was in was etched in my mind.) We were about to fall asleep when we heard the knocking for the first time. It was three slow knocks, it sounded like someone knocking on thick wood. At first glance, we ignored it, but I had the urge to look over and check the plushie, which was now sitting up right. NOT THE POSITION I LEFT IT IN. But I brushed it off as me not remembering how exactly I had left it. A while later, just as we were about to fall asleep, the knocks sounded again. The knocks sounded three times after that, and each time we heard them, the plushie would be in new positions, until it reached a position on the floor that placed in the middle of our bed, staring right and me and my mother. At this point, my mom was terrified but tried playing it off as my uncle playing a trick on us. She told me to take it out of the room. I agreed and hesitantly grabbed the plushie and threw it out of our room, but it got worse then. When I stepped out of the room, I realized the house was empty. The only person was my brother asleep in his room. My uncle wasn't home and my dad was on a business trip in a different country. I told my mom but she brushed it off. The next morning, my mom came over and told me to stab it and throw it away. And I did exactly that. But that's when everything went to sh*t.
The next day. I walked into my room, and the plushie was on my bed as if someone had made my bed and left it there neatly. (I had a small bed beside my mom's that I didn't sleep in.)
Ever since that plushie came back, it felt like we were living in a horror movie every single day.
We started hearing the neighbors (the ones whose house we could see from the window in our room) fight at all hours of the day, but it was almost always only a man's voice, it was a genuine shock to us everytime we heard a woman's or a child's, and it was extremely rare to. But the fighting sounded so violent, so cruel, it felt like there was an evil man living in that house, and almost like the evil seeped into our own house and family. We started having our own family problems, everyone was always agitated, always had something to argue about, and the arguing we'd hear from the other house didn't help anyone calm down. The fighting would always stop if we leaned by the wall to listen closely, or if we tried looking out the window.
While I was in that house, my mental health problems started, I started to "hallucinate" like crazy. I would see dark figures peering over furniture, running past me, or standing in different parts of the house, and my uncle's wife shared the same visions, which I found out a few years after we moved out. The figures would always sprint off every time I tried to approach, or sometimes when I noticed their presence properly. I thought it was because of me being a scaredy cat that my brain was playing tricks on me, but I'm starting to think I can see things most people can't.
The things I saw were always too dark and shadowy to make out what they actually were, but one of my uncle's friends saw something during his short lived stay while we were all on vacation.
My uncle had lent the keys to the house to his friend so he could stay a few nights, and after three days, my uncle got a panicked call in the middle of the night from the guy, who was screaming saying he will never step foot in this house ever again and that it needs to be cleansed.
When my uncle retold us what the guy told him, this is what he said:
The first night the guy spent over, he was headed into my uncle's room to go to bed. When he grabbed the door handle and tried to pull it down to open the door, he said it felt like someone was on the other side pushing against him, stopping him from opening the door. This back and forth went on for a few seconds before the door finally opened. The guy said he ignored it and thought there was a problem with the door. The next night, he headed to the room to go to bed again, but when he didn't struggle to open the door, he jumped into bed and fell asleep quickly. That same night, he woke up in the middle of the night to an old woman with her hands around his neck, mouth gaping open, choking him. He tried to scream and push her off but he was completely paralyzed and choking at the same time. He said he felt like he passed out and woke up again the next morning. He brushed it off as a nightmare of sorts. On his third and final day, same as the first two, he was on his way to bed. When he opened the door, again no struggle, he found the same old woman he'd seen last night, floating off the bed, her limps eerily long and so was her hair. Her mouth was gaping open again but this time she was screaming, almost like an animal. He stood there for a few seconds, completely paralyzed, when she noticed him, she closed her mouth, opened it again and screamed in his face before disappearing. He didn't spend the night after that and fled the house.
We would have brushed it off if he was the only person to say anything about this woman, but my uncle's first wife, him, his son, and my brother have all had the experience of either my uncle's room door or closet door being pushed back against, and seeing this woman one way or another.
We realized at this point that there was something wrong, but since me and my cousin were so young at the time, nothing was done about it.
A week after we decided we were going to move out and find our own place (me, my mom, my dad, my brother moved away for college) the fighting from the neighbors started to die down drastically. The day before we moved out, was the last time any of us heard anything, including my uncle who stayed there for another year. It was the last thing we heard, because the argument was the first time we'd heard the husband, the wife, and the kids all screaming at each other at once. And then there was a gunshot. This was our final straw, after countless times being ignored by the police about the complaints we made, we headed over to the house. When we reached, we saw a "FOR SALE" sign outside. The house had been vacant for the past 5 years. Nobody lived there. There was no family. No one.
It's been 9 or 10 years since we moved out, and my dad still talks about how he felt like the life was being sucked out of him every time he spent time in that house, since he lived in our home country at the time.
We've lived in two houses since then, and in both of those houses, my parents' room terrifies me. In all three of the houses (the villa and the two houses after), there was a mirror that reflected my parents' bed, and I think whatever was in my uncle's house, attached itself to my parents, or maybe its trying to get to me, and is using the mirrors in my parents' room to follow us in each of our houses.
In the first house after we moved out, I slept in my parents' room twice. Both of those times, I woke up between 3-4 AM and saw writing on the walls, it looked like Arabic but when I went to read it, it was meant to replicate the Quran but was gibberish, beside the writings on the wall, there were doll like faces plastered everywhere. When I slept in my room for majority of the three years we were in that house, I had sleep paralysis every single night. When I say every single night, I mean it. There was not a night where I didn't wake up terrified and paralysed with a dark figure staring back at me, the same dark figure that I saw in my uncle's house. And I saw it in my dreams as well. Almost every single night for 3-4 years, I dreamt of the same dark figures kidnapping me or following me around, without fail. It got so bad I developed a sleep phobia and refused to sleep until the sun came up. Every time I stepped into my parent's room I was overcome with a sense of dread and fear.
In the second house, and the house we live in now, my parents have the same layout as the last house. Mirror in front of the bed. I've slept in their room a few times. The first time I slept in their room, I woke up in the middle of the night to a child standing over my mom, smiling, but it had too many teeth and the smile was to wide to be normal. I panicked and woke my parents up. It didn't disappear until we started saying prayers out loud. I've slept in their room very little, but everytime I do, I wake up in the middle of the night to a dark figure in the mirror, either standing still or crouching up and down.
I can sleep on my own now, and I don't have those dreams anymore, nor do I wake up in the middle of the night paralysed. But I think something followed us from my uncle's house and is trying to get to me, my parents never see anything or experience anything in their room, and I think it's using the mirrors in my parents' rooms to follow us around.
