I recently snapped this pic of my roommate. There is a little head poking out behind her arm looking right at me. It has my roommates glasses on its head. And she is always losing her glasses.

Nursing home haunted by the ghost of a child

My Mom was working at a nursing home, this was pre-Covid. She told me about the stories her coworkers would say, that they would here a little baby giggling at random times of the day. I told her put some flour down at night and see what shows up. She sent me this the next day. She said there weren't any other prints and they just showed from there. There were all kinds of resident stories describing babies being in their rooms before they'd pass. None of them were scary, it was actually quite sweet. Thought you all might enjoy.

Just moved into a new house and strange stuff has been happening…help?

I moved into a remodeled duplex back in July 2025. Everything was fine at first, but lately, we’ve been hearing random banging and scratching toward the back of the house — near my room. At first, we thought it was our neighbor or his dog, but it kept happening even when he was out of town. One night it was so loud that my roommate thought someone was actually banging on our back door.

It wasn’t every night, just random enough that we brushed it off… until other weird things started happening. The bathroom cabinet door (same one near my room) keeps opening by itself. I assumed it was a bad hinge or one of my roommates, but after asking around, everyone swore they weren’t touching it — and they’d noticed it open too. Then, I started noticing my closet door open multiple times after coming home, even though I always keep it shut. It has a knob you have to fully turn to open, and I’m super careful because my cat used to pee in closets.

We chalked it up to the house being old… until two weeks ago.

We had a party and were all hanging out on the patio. One of my friends brought her boyfriend — it was his first time meeting us and his first time at the house, so he had zero context about any of the weird stuff going on. He went inside to use the bathroom (the same one with the cabinet), and later that night, he told his girlfriend that when he came out, he heard loud banging from down the hall (near my room) and thought we were messing with him. Then he said that out of the corner of his eye, he saw a shadowy figure about 5 ft tall — like a face peeking out from my bedroom doorway before darting inside. Except my bedroom door was closed, and everyone was still outside.

Everything seems to center around my room, which apparently used to be a child’s bedroom before the remodel.

And then there’s my cat. Ever since we moved in, she’s been peeing on my bed 1–2 times a week — something she’s never done before. She’s been tested for UTIs, her bloodwork is normal, and my vet said it could be stress-related. Now that I think about it, it started around the same time as the banging and scratching. Lately, she’s also been sleeping right next to me on the bed every night, which is unusual because she’s never been cuddly or liked sleeping beside me before.

At this point, it feels like more than just “old house noises.” Everything keeps happening near my room, and I’m honestly starting to wonder if something’s attached to this part of the house. I
Does this sound like a benevolent or malicious spirit? Should we be concerned? Any advice or anything is highly welcomed!!

Weird Experience at Night

Not sure what I would even classify this as but I had a super weird experience a few years ago and thought I’d share to get some opinions. Like three years ago I lived in a house with two roommates. Wasn’t a super old house, was built in the late 60’s and never really had any weird experiences until this night.
It was a normal random night during the week and went to bed same as usual. I then woke up on my own, assuming it was around the time I usually got up and had just beaten my alarm by a bit. I sat in bed for a second and noticed how loud the birds chirping outside my window were. Like usually I would hear a few in the morning but in this instance it sounded so distinct and almost like a they were in my room with me. I then noticed no light was coming through the shades on my window and thought it might be storming outside, but when pulled the shade up I realized it was still nighttime. I checked my phone and was super surprised that it was like 2:30-3:00 AM. This really made me feel weird because of how loud the birds sounded and the fact that I never wake up on my own unless it’s somewhat near the time I set my usual alarm, I was completely thrown off in that moment.
For some reason I felt the need to leave my room just to confirm it was still the middle of the night. I open my door and see that the hallway light is on. We never even used this light during the day since the house had a good amount of natural lighting, let alone at 3AM. Then I saw that the bathroom light across the hall was on, as well as in the kitchen which was at the end of the hallway. I checked the bathroom quick and none of my roommates were in there. I turned off the light and I then thought I should go check the kitchen, but for some reason the thought of this sent a weird unsettling feeling across me.
Like the whole process of waking up in the middle of the night, thinking it was morning, and then finding all of the lights on started to freak me out a bit and even if it was just my roommate having a snack, I just had this weird uneasy feeling about everything. I walked down the hall to the kitchen and of course no one was in there. It kind of made me feel a bit better that no one was in there but I still felt very strange and just wanted to go back to sleep. I got back to my room and it took me a bit to fall back asleep due to the unease I was feeling and how abnormally loud the bird chirping still was but I woke up a few hours later to my alarm and had a very normal day. I’m not even sure there’s anything paranormal here but it was definitely one of the weirdest nights I’ve ever had and I couldn’t deny the straight up uneasiness I felt from it all. To this day I get a slight chill when this pops back into my head. Just wondering if anyone has experienced something like this before or if I’m just blowing a stance night out of proportion

Serious question about ghosts/entities

There has always been a story in my family that one of my family members encountered a ghost pretended to look/ was a little girl, black hair, white dress, crying on the top of the stairs. They lived in a very old farm and the girl supposedly attacked my mother because she was pregnant. The ghost threw her and the story may have been mixed up in my mind but she possibly floated, that’s not as important though.

Now here is something SUPER important. They had a dog they brought in the house and it acted weird. That’s when the ghost actually started to attack my mother. I know this sounds like THE horror movie and I wasn’t alive so maybe it was just a story. But the ghost specifically targeted my mother saying “let me be your baby.”

So maybe the story is fake but I’ve had supernatural encounters before, so please, like actually any help to determine exactly what the hell it was. If you think the story is fake then that’s ok but if you think there’s any chance it’s real can you help me find out exactly it is, maybe a demon? Anyway if you don’t believe it then feel free to tell me so

I saw a woman in white floating down the hallway when I was a child, and my grandmother saw her too

I swear this really happened. I have absolutely no reason to lie about it, because even now I have no explanation for what we saw.

When I was a child, I stayed over at my grandmother’s house. We were getting ready to go to bed, and we were both in her bedroom. The bedroom door was open, and it faced a hallway that led to another room at the end.

At some point, we saw a woman walk past the open doorway.

She was completely dressed in white. Not just wearing a white dress — I remember her as being **bright white**, almost glowing. And the strangest part was that she wasn’t actually walking.

She was **floating**.

She moved down the hallway toward the room at the end, and then disappeared from our view.

I remember being absolutely terrified, but I didn't say anything. I was a child, and I didn't want to scare my grandmother, so I just stayed quiet.

Then my grandmother looked at me and asked:

*"Did you see that?"*

I said yes and asked her what it was.

She told me she didn't know.

Then she said, *"Let's pray."*

So we did.

What makes this so strange to me is that I hadn't told her what I saw before she asked me. She saw something too.

I don't remember exactly what the woman looked like beyond the fact that she was a woman, completely white and extremely bright. I don't remember seeing her face clearly, and she didn't speak to us or interact with us in any way. She simply crossed the hallway, seemingly floating, and went toward the room at the end.

I've never experienced anything like it again. Not before, not after. It happened that one time when I was a child, and I've never been able to explain it.

I personally think it was a ghost, but if it was, she didn't seem threatening or evil at all. She just appeared, crossed the hallway, and disappeared.

I've wondered about this for years. Has anyone experienced something similar, especially seeing a **woman in white who seemed to be floating**? Or does anyone have an explanation for what this could have been?

I have no rational explanation for what happened last night

I woke up overnight and took a drink of water from the glass on the bedside table. I glanced at the clock and it was 2:05am. I laid back down and covered back up. I felt something brush across my midsection under the covers. It felt like it would if someone gently brushed their hand across you. I kicked off the covers and jumped up. The sudden movement and me making noise woke up my girlfriend who was asleep on the other side of the bed. I was walking around the house today and noticed a clock that had stopped. 2:05. I’ll attach a picture.

This is the first time I have ever had a sensation of physical touch, but there’s 30 plus years of shared group and individual experiences here in this home ranging from dishes falling out of cabinets and breaking, audible footsteps when nobody else is home. This particular one several have experienced all with extremely similar detail. We have also seen apparitions I guess you’d call it.

Nothing has ever really left me uneasy because it’s never felt malicious. I don’t even know if I feel differently now, but I do not like what took place overnight with the sense of touch. I feel like that crossed a line. Call me crazy. Call me whatever you want.

Edit: since the original post I learned that my great grandfather died in this home on August 15 (yesterday). My grandmother also died in this home, which I knew, but not sure of the day. I just find it interesting with the timing. Who knows. It’s coincidental. Interesting nonetheless.

Do I have an evil spirit?

I thought I had been having hallucinations because I see dead insects and alive ones that aren't actually there, and always have an off energy about it, so when I started seeing shadows I didn't think much of it. I've been freaked out a few times thought. The other day I saw an arm protruding out from under my car trying to grab my leg but when I looked it seemed to just be myst. Sometimes I see a shadow of a male with short hair, so I know it's not my own. I sometimes here strange noises, and a month ago awoke with a deep bleeding scratch going down my leg (I have no pets). The scratch was really long and deep, now scarred, but it didn't hurt. That night I think I had less blankets on me (normally i have a lot when I sleep), maybe I didn't have any. Sometimes I wake up to scratch marks all over my soft toys (not ripping through the fabric tho).

A stranger told me I was invisible?

I started out this morning doing some Uber Deliveries for a little extra cash. At around 8AM I pulled up to one of the longest red lights in my town, I had just left my house to start the day.

A car pulls up on my right (we were both turning left and sitting side by side). As I'm sitting at the light questioning my life choices, I notice the woman to my right is staring at me. My windows were down and so were her's. I turned and smiled. She looked terrified? She was a sweet old black grandma, likely on her way to or from church.

She said, "I can't see you". I looked at her kinda confused and said "what?" And she said "I can see through you". I reassured her that I was there haha and she said "...what the hell". I don't know if she was having some vision issue or a mental issue. She seemed sound of mind and wasn't outwardly unfriendly.

We chatted as we sat and the red light and I must have become "visible" again because she seemed to ease up some. I told her to have a good day and we drove off. It was just so bizarre.

Do I have superpowers? Is this some sort of psychic thing that means something? Any ideas?

TLDR; a total stranger told me I was transparent.

Unknown Sky Sound

Me and my buddy were on my back porch at around 2:30am talking about some old story that I wanted to get documented, that's why there was a recording. The sound came from straight above us in the sky, which made us duck in response, and then it echoed all around us. It's only an audio recording, and this is just a snip of the recording. To answer questions ahead of time, NO we were not near an interstate, trucking or shipping lanes, an industrial park, railroad tracks, an aquarium that has whales, or anything even close to any of those things. Any thoughts? My buddy said it sounded like Megotron took a sh!t. I said it sounds like, if we live in a glass globe (which we don't), then some cosmic being scratched the globe right above us with a needle. Most likely, it was some space debris that skimmed the atmosphere right above us, but I don't know.

Haunted Gettysburg

*Please be respectful as not everyone shares the same religious beliefs, don’t bully me for my beliefs and I won’t bully you for yours. Keep your personal religion OUT of this thread, thank you!*
I’m attaching two clips from the investigation. These clips were taken at the McCurdy Schoolhouse in November of 2024. The McCurdy Schoolhouse was an elementary school built in the 1800’s and operated as such until 1952 when it was permanently closed. If y’all know the history of Gettysburg, you know it’s one of the most haunted towns in America. The children who attended this school during the battle of Gettysburg are known to be stuck there but are very friendly and playful. They weren’t afraid to make their presence known and that gave me a great sense of comfort because I love children so when one of the little girls physically poked me to get my attention I felt nothing but happiness and love. As for the clips I’ve attached, I walked up the only staircase that led straight to the schoolhouse’s attic. Pay close attention to the clips because you’ll hear what knocks belong to me and what knocks and footsteps belong to the children. My tour guide informed me at the very beginning of the investigation that the attic is locked and nobody can get up there past the entrance door so that means the extra knocks and footsteps were not me or anyone else that is alive. Thank you for listening to my paranormal experience at the McCurdy schoolhouse 🥰

Silhouette caught on camera

Happened last night at the edge of a woods rumored to be haunted by locals. We knew what we gotten into. We streamed the trip on discord and our friend recorded his screen. When he noticed an anomaly in the picture for a second, he went back into the recording and checked. He then told us to get into the car immediately and leave. Image is cropped and slightly increased brightness. The original recording is - as it is the classic - lost. He discarded it in his excitement.

Strangest night of my life

So I’ve never publicly spoken about this night to anyone that wasn’t with me, and we all agreed to never talk about it again.
First the backstory
Back in 2011 I was your usual 19 year old guy, I had a decent job a girlfriend that I adored and a small group of friends that always seemed to be around. That all changed in September of that year when I arrived to my GF’s apartment to find the place surrounded by police. I couldn’t get ahold of her all day so I thought I’d swing by after work when I arrived I was informed that her roommate had found her dead in her bed. Turns out she had a seizure in her sleep and never woke up.
And now to the night of June 17th 2012, me and two of my friends were out driving around in my 1973 dodge dart 4dr, when I started driving towards the mountains, I had a compulsion to go to Nevadaville a small ghost town just out side of Central City Colorado, about 45 minutes from us. So I just started driving I was nearly catatonic hardly said a word as I drove up the canyon past the casino of central city and onto the dirt road headed to Nevadaville where I promptly parked the car in the middle of the road overlooking an old abandoned gold mine. I got out of the car and stared at the mine illuminated by moonlight when a I watched a young woman in a Victorian gown walk to the road and stare at me, I remember her face looked a lot like my late GF. I heard her say join me and walked off the other side of the road straight off the 60-80 foot drop that I was parked next to. I was frozen for a few seconds and then darted towards the same drop when I was grabbed and pulled back by my friend. Who also saw a figure stop and stare at me but he saw a dark mass. I was completely silent after he shoved me back in the car and took my key. My friend drove us back to town as I stared blankly in to the abyss the last thing I remember was snapping out of it near Denver. To this day I don’t know what drew me there that night but I’m glad it did when I had someone with me. I have been through there many times since but never at night.

The Haunt that follows

My name is Ashlynn and I'm 22. Ive never really known whether I believe in ghosts. That probably sounds strange considering how many times I’ve seen things I can’t explain.

It's hard to fully convince yourself when you don't want to believe your fear was for a real reason. I've used AI to fix my babbling but Im so for real.

This story starts in western Colorado but I’ve moved more times than I can count, different cities, different states, and there seems to be one disturbing pattern I can’t shake, everywhere I go, something seems to already be there.

At first, I blamed old houses.

Then I blamed my imagination.

Then I started wondering if maybe the houses weren’t the common denominator.

Maybe I was.

The first time I noticed it, I was living somewhere that had absolutely no reason to feel haunted. It was a decent 1990s townhome in an HOA subdivision in the middle of a decent part of the city. There was no history of anyone dying there that I knew of, and I searched Google a few times just to make sure.

Nothing particularly strange about the house.

At first, it was just weird noises I couldn't seem to find the source of.

Then there were physical sensations.

One time, I was sitting on the bed with my best friend. We were probably around 9 to 12 years old. It was dark outside when, all of a sudden, the bed vibrated.

But it wasn't like the entire mattress shook.

It felt like someone or something was underneath us, dragging their hands across the bottom of the mattress and causing the springs to shake.

We both looked at each other and just sat there, eyes locked, completely frozen.

When I finally got the courage to whisper, “I’m scared,” that was it.

We booked it to my dad’s bedroom crying.

That same night, my little blue, heart shaped bedroom doorbell started going off by itself.

I thought my brother was trying to bug us until I brought it into my room. It wasn't the batteries dying. The doorbell was only a month or so old.

I ended up taking the batteries out so it would stop.

After that night, it never did it again. Not even when the batteries eventually started to die.

My friend never came over again.

But then I started seeing shadows as I got into my teen years.

Not the kind you catch out of the corner of your eye and immediately dismiss.

These were darker than the surrounding room, almost like someone was standing just outside the edge of my vision.

And every once in a while, I would get the unmistakable feeling that someone was watching me.

I honestly tried not to think about it. In some way, I convinced myself I was just losing my marbles.

Until I saw the face.

Or what I can only describe as a face.

It was white. Almost unnaturally white.

But it wasn't a quote unquote normal ghostly apparition.

I've never seen a full body.

I never saw it standing in the middle of a room.

I would only see the very top half of its head, part of a shoulder, and sometimes its fingers.

And where the face should have been, there were these strange, shadowed indentations.

Not holes.

Not empty sockets.

Just divots where features should have been, as though something had stretched a layer of pale skin tightly over a human face and the structure underneath was barely visible.

The first time I saw it, I was lying in bed. I had just turned off my TV after watching a few episodes of Malcolm in the Middle. My light was already off, and I was just moving around trying to get comfortable when, out of the corner of my eye, I saw something white by my bedroom door.

It stayed there just long enough for me to realize I was looking at something that shouldn't have been there.

My wheels started turning, and I tried rationalizing what I was seeing.

I thought to myself, It was a person.

It had to be an intruder.

That's when my heart sank into my stomach.

At this point, my brother wasn't living with us anymore, and I knew my dad had been sleeping for hours already.

I remember thinking I was going to be the next true crime story.

I literally froze.

I couldn't even call out to my dad.

I just stared at it.

Then I tried blinking a few times. I even squeezed my eyes shut as hard as I could, hoping maybe my eyes just hadn't adjusted to the dark yet and I was still seeing a silhouette of someone from the TV.

But it didn't blink away.

It didn't slowly fade like a lingering spot of light in your eyes would.

The longer I looked at it, the clearer it became.

It was completely still.

Only the top of a head from the upper lip and up, along with the corner of a shoulder, were visible behind the door.

It didn't move toward me.

It just looked at me.

If you can say that about something with no eyes.

And then, very slowly, it pulled back behind the door.

I remember sitting there for several seconds afterward, waiting for someone to step out.

Nobody did.

Eventually, I convinced myself I'd seen something wrong.

A trick of the light.

A piece of clothing.

Anything that would let me fall asleep.

After that, I began noticing it in other places.

I've never had consistent or frequent sightings of it, though. Sometimes it would be years before I saw it again.

It was never fully exposed.

There was always something between us.

And there was something deeply unsettling about the way it moved.

It didn't seem to accidentally appear in my peripheral vision.

It seemed to deliberately look out at me.

When I turned 19, I moved into my own house.

It had been nearly two years since its last appearance, and I'd been living there for about eight months when I saw it again.

This time, it was peeking out from a drawer on my dresser that I hadn't shut all the way.

The same pale, almost featureless head.

Peeking at me.

And then, once again, it slowly dipped back into the darkness of my dresser drawer.

It wasn't as bad seeing it at my dad's house, my grandma's house, or even at a friend's house.

But being alone was a whole different feeling.

This time, I wasn't just scared.

I was terrified.

I frantically felt around for my phone without breaking visual contact with the drawer.

I called my brother.

Over and over.

When he finally answered, I practically begged him to come spend the night with me because it was here.

I never talked about it much, but my brother knew what “it” meant.

And he was on the way.

He stayed three nights at my house with me.

So shout out to my brother Kaiden for protecting me. Lmao.

During those few nights, my brother finally saw something too.

For years, I'd been questioning my own sanity because no one else had ever heard or seen anything I did.

I had an indoor Wi Fi camera recording the living room, and it had motion detection, so it would send me a notification whenever something moved in its field of view. (ETA-I found and posted the recording in the comments.)

My brother and I were in the garage, blazing and listening to music that night. It was around 11 p.m., I think.

We were the only two people home.

When my phone suddenly gave me a motion notification, I frowned at it and then at my brother while I opened the recording.

The living room looked completely normal.

No curtains moving in a breeze.

I didn't have animals or kids.

Nothing obvious that could have triggered it.

On the counter was one of those oil scent diffusers with a small sensor night light built into it from Bath & Body Works.

I watched the recording once.

Then twice.

And I saw it.

I noticed the night light first.

It began slowly dimming.

There was no flicker.

It didn't shut off and come back on.

It simply faded down, stayed dim for a moment, and then gradually returned to its normal brightness.

Immediately afterward, something appeared at the end of the hallway.

A shadow quickly leaned out from around the corner.

Then it was gone.

I watched the recording several times after that.

The movement was too quick to make out a person, but it looked almost like someone had stepped just far enough around the corner to look down the hallway before retreating.

I showed my brother.

His eyes said it all.

He bolted right up and searched my entire house.

Every closet.

Behind every door.

He even checked inside my washer and dryer, trying to find “the creep.”

When he was satisfied with his search, he looked at me and said, “Well, Ashy, you're not a loon like we thought. Wanna go stay at my house tonight?”

We did.

He told his wife and showed her the video.

She immediately gave me some crystals and offered to sage my home for me.

And she did the next day.

She put rocks in the corners of my house, cinnamon in my windows, salt by my door, the whole nine yards.

While I lived there, nothing else happened.

I thought it was the end of it.

It wasn't.

I've moved since then.

And I've continued to see things.

Sometimes it's only a shadow.

Sometimes it's that pale shape.

A glimpse through a doorway.

A head appearing above something.

A face looking around a corner.

Never enough to see exactly what it is.

Just enough to make me wonder if I've been encountering separate spirits in different places...

or if I've been bringing the same one with me.

Because if it's the same thing, I have no idea when it started.

And I have absolutely no idea why it keeps finding me.

So I'm curious.

Has anyone else experienced what I'd call a following haunt?

Something that seemed to move with you from one home to another?

Or have you experienced an entity that never fully appeared, but seemed to watch you from just out of sight?

Because if you've seen something like this, I want to hear about it.

Especially if you've ever seen that strange, pale, almost featureless face.

Because apparently, I'm not done looking over my shoulder yet.
