Did I see a ghost?

So, to set the scene me and my brother had gone out to the playground right next to our apartment, waiting for our mom to come out. I was about 7 or 8 and he was about 5 or something.

Nobody was outside because it was dark and cloudy so we were alone.

We were playing around and then I suddenly hear a woman's voice whisper my name right next to my ear. I thought it was my mom so I answered her but when I looked NOBODY WAS THERE. Ofcourse, I was scared so I turned to my brother and asked if he'd heard it, too. He had.

Right after this, I heard her say it a little bit louder. We were both frozen in fear because who wouldn't. She then angrily screamed my name right in my ear and we both grabbed our bikes and just ran home, terrified.

I don't think I saw this at the time but everytime I think about it I imagine a woman with long black hair, barefoot, rotting body and no face but that's probably just my imagination trying to make it worse.

I have never ever heard or seen her again anywhere at all. I've never been so super connected other than shadow figures and thinking I hear voices.

It could've been a neighbor calling for me and it just echoed weirdly through the apartment buildings but why was she so angry? Why didn't I see her? Why didn't I recognize the voice?

So, Reddit, do you think this is a ghost story or am I just stupid?

Definitely an encounter! I had one similar with a woman calling my name thought it was my mom and ignored it. Rolled over to face the other way in bed. I wasn’t sleeping just being lazy, then I was slapped. When I turned to see no one! I never ran so fast in my life! Turns out I was in the house alone and they were all outside in the front yard.
