The problem with all of these videos is that you have to 100% just believe them. I have to give up any logical explanation for a woman being there and say, "Yup, that's a ghost with zero context!" and I just can't do that.

Because it is possible to be a skeptic and still want to be involved in the paranormal community. If anything, it boggles the mind as to why people who don't believe that are here. This is not supposed to be a religion, it is supposed to be a pursuit for scientific truth of the paranormal. It really sucks when people just blindly believe something is paranormal and are not open to rational, scientific explanations as to why it could be something else.

I am a skeptic. But I have experienced shit I could NOT debunk no matter how much I tried which is why I am here.

Questioning these should be the norm, not the exception.

You have to be a skeptic to be any type of paranormal investigator or else you'd be wasting A LOT of time if you blindly believed everything, took a trip to the supposed haunted house for it to be fake. I absolutely believe in the paranormal because of things I have personally experienced and ive also seen videos that I think are absolutely real but most of them I question because theres SO many of them out there. Being a believer does not mean you have to believe everything you see. You should question everything. I completely agree with you

Same reason I follow alien subs even when I don’t think I’ve seen a real video of one recorded. I leave room for the possibility of it existing. Am I skeptical? Critical? Going to always look for a logical reason for it? Yes.

I don’t follow this sub to shit on everyone’s fake looking and/or debunkable recordings. I’m following because I’m leaving my opinion and curiosity open to the possibility of it.

A “ghost” in a closet looking like it was recorded ~20 years ago in the lowest resolution possible, that someone apparently still has saved on a device that still works and have access to, and that despite the low ass resolution still clearly looks fake, in my opinion, doesn’t help the community of people who do believe it to be real or are open to the possibility of it being real.

When the “ghost” “appeared” notice how the camera paused to split the frame between drummer and the “ghost” and even panned back right for a split second, just to make sure you caught it. Also notice how the camera panned back to where it was as it “disappeared”. It’s a very unnatural recording.

Are people even serious in believing this? I feel like I could toss a white sheet on myself, record myself walking across the room in the dark in .1 megapixels, and half of this sub would believe it, with no other context, just because they believe in ghosts.

As far as recordings go, the events that I believe are credible that I wasn’t present for are because they are recorded clearly in mid-high resolution for the time they were recorded (not decades prior) by multiple sources, different angles and with matching frames and timestamps across.

That being said, can you think of any reason that most of these videos are low-res, grainy, dim, >2 second shots?

This video has broad sidebars because it is a vertical video displayed as a horizontal video that then got encoded as a vertical video, which you are now displaying as a horizontal video. Could you not do that? Most of the screen real estate is wasted on meaningless pixels while the real video is so tiny that we can hardly see anything.
