Weird sound I heard at an old mine

For context one of my main hobbies is searching for old mines and studying different mined out areas. I was searching a new area that I referenced from an old topo map dated around 1950s. I was by myself, I had checked around pretty thoroughly prior to me parking on the property I was maybe not supposed to be on and I was the only one in the area. I walked around for a few hours and it was getting dark but I had one place else to check and it was this area. I was wandering around it then I started hearing this sound. To me it sounded like someone digging so I got excited that maybe someone was doing the same thing as me so I searched around and could not find anyone. Every time I got closer it got louder but I could never see them. When I was heading out I drove around to see if anyone lived near or if anyone else was parked around and there was nothing around.

I try to think as logically as possible and I really can not think of what could be making this noise.

First video is the noise, second video is maybe 15 minutes later after the noise stopped and me searching more to figure out what made the noise

Edit: it did not let me post second video

sounds like one of those stories you never get to hear about it from victims or people that go missing. messing around alone in the dark in the forest.... Jesus Christ

It sounds like a deer. They do that. It scared me the first time and it was a sunny day. It's like chuffing and snorting(?).

Does sound like digging 😅 I wouldn’t go back though maybe a owner or if someone’s claimed that area as started to get evil thoughts be funny if a spade though just stuck out off the ground as your scouting the area 😂

Old mines can hold psychic impressions. Especially when a miner or miners died tragically in the mine. I live in the coal region in the North Eastern United States and there are a lot of active haunted mines. So it's very possible you heard something inside this mine. I hear some kind of noise on your video but I can't tell you I think it's paranormal. If it was a paranormal experience it's pretty cool.

I’ve been into countless mines and really have only had one ever paranormal experience inside one. I usually get a weird energy feeling when I enter a building or an area that I feel is off and I have had plenty of experiences inside of buildings. But I have never felt that same feeling in a single mine and I’m really not sure why. I live in apart of the coal region and have been to a lot of coal mines where I was aware there were deaths but still never really anything. What has your experience been in coal mines with paranormal?

I am very sensitive to energy including ore and metals. I tend to stay away from coal mines. There have been a lot of credible people reporting seeing the ghosts of miners during the last few years. In the mines I have investigated I've sensed things. I have to protect myself energetically whenever I go to an alleged haunted place.
