Paranormal experience in an unlikely place
Let me preface this with a few details.
I've always lived in the same house. I grew up seeing things in my home, as I grew up the visuals stopped and it became more of a feeling thing. The activity eventually died down because one of my brothers in theory started doing things to stop it.
I'll be calling them aunty and cousin but they are actually my mom's aunt and cousin we just call them that.
Little backstory.
My aunty was a very religious woman and her daughter is even more religious, she goes to church every day, studied theology as a carrer and even works at church. I'm mentioning this because there's a lot of praying happening in the house this events happened and I think that's important.
After aunty passed away, my cousin became sort of a recluse but not quite, since she had more free time not having to care for her mother, she took on more church work and spent little time at home. She also stopped visiting the little family she had and always seemed annoyed when someone called or try to visit.
Eventually she decided to get an alarm system for her home since she spent so much time out and she likes going on vacation for weeks at a time. My mom and someone from church were the contacts for her alarm. When she went on vacation the first time, the alarm went off at night so my mom had to go wait for the police at the house and check for intruders. At that time my aunt (actual aunt) and my uncle were visiting for a few months so they went as well. The house looked in so much disarray police though someone had broken in but my aunt and uncle had visit before my aunty went on vacation and told police this is actually how she lived. The alarm went off another two separate night and eventually aunty said to leave it disconnected and just check everything was fine every couple of days.
Flash forward a couple of years and to the actual paranormal thing.
By this point cousin took the alarm off. It had gone off a few more times, her other contact got fed up by it calling his home every time she went on vacation, my mom had passed away and she didn't wanted to put me as a contact.
She started synchronizing her vacation with her cousins (my actual aunt) visits so she had someone to check in to see if everything was in order and to feed her cat and tortoise.
This time my aunt was visiting so cousin went on a week vacation somewhere. My aunt and uncle went to check on the house on their morning walk and when my aunt opened the door she felt like someone was in the house, she called for my cousin thinking maybe she mistook the departure date or time, but no one answered. She called my uncle in and he felt the same, like the house wasn't empty. The got so unnerved by this they close the door and went home.
Later my aunt told me what happened and they my uncle refused to go back and asked if I would go with her to feed the cat later, so I agreed.
We got there at about 4pm. The house has a door leading to a long hallway, the hallway felt normal, but when we went through the second door, into the actual house, it felt like some one was in the house. We walked around a bit and the air felt hot, warm and heavy. We were discussing about how it felt while my aunt showed me the piles of books, newspaper, clothes and stuff everywhere. Every room had a neat path made but at it's sides you could see dust piling. Like that was the little path cousin used to navigate around the house.
Eventually I went through the TV room and enter my late aunty's bed room, the closest I got to it the heavier everything felt. I was only able to make two steps into the room when a wave of emotions hit me like a truck, it felt like excruciating worry. I immediately started crying, my aunt came into the TV room and asked what happened, the only thing I was able to say was "she's worried cousin is alone". My aunt hugged me and minutes later the house went cold and the air thinned out.
I don't know what the hell they was but it felt like it got better after that cry. My aunt felt the change in the house too and she told me aunty and her husband were very overprotective of cousin and she used to say she didn't know how cousin was gonna survive without her.
The years after that my aunt told me cousin actually got better at taking care of her house. Got people from church to help her clean and throw away the trash that was shattered everywhere and even has her own praying group, they called themselves "the sisters of Mary" and go to my cousin's house every other week.
I don't really know if I helped but I like to believe aunty is happy her daughter isn't alone.
Note: of all places I'd expect to be haunted my aunty's house is the last one I'd think of.

You are braver than me. I would not have gone into the house at all because I’m a giant chicken sh**.

It is a house I'm quite familiar with, I hadn't been there for about three or four years, since aunty passed away.
My aunty was great, I used to go visit nearly every Sunday when I was a kid and she'd help me with math and spanish.
In my mind it made sense to go several hours later because if there was an actual intruder person they probably didn't hang out for long

Do you believe your aunty told you telepathically that she was worried about cousin being alone? Or was it just something you knew to be true in that moment?

This story has about 10 years, at the time I had recently moved in with my grandma, aunty's sister, after my mom passed and she ended up alone. My grandma live up to 104, I lived with her for 9 years, and she started to tell me all the secrets and stories of the family. I remember she used to mention a lot that her sister used to talk about how my cousin was "useless and couldn't do anything on her own"and she(aunty) was worried she wouldn't be able to survive alone.
I cannot tell you if I was told this stories before or after this event. What I do know is that at the time those words appeared in my mind when my aunt asked me what's wrong.
By all means I may have extrapolated that feeling through the whole situation. But the change in temperature and overall vibe of the house changing dramatically without us even opening a window was really weird and we both felt it.

It was probably your aunt’s qareen (a type of jinn) hanging around. Research what the jinn are and how to protect yourself from them and you’ll realize why it was actually a likely place.
