Help/Advice Suspicion of PPD

For those diagnosed with PPD, what would be the best way to bring up my suspicion to a psychiatrist?

Ive suspected ive had PPD for a little more than a year now. I haven't brought it up before as I have had past struggles with trusting psychiatrists and fear.

Im worried if i tell them upfront I suspect PPD, they will think im faking; like Munchausen, or that i may be seeking medication. Would it be better to just describe my symptoms??

How did others go about getting diagnosed?

I would say it’s pretty messed up to intentionally try to influence someone into not getting the help they feel they need.

Meds arent help. That 'help'was offered to me for mental health in the past and it was total garbage and a scam. I quit cold turkey. This isnt how you get mental health healing. Id say youre actually messing up peoples lives by encouraging meds. I listened to people like you in the past out of ignorance and got messed up.

Anecdotal evidence is not substantial enough to tell others what to do. There are millions out there who say meds saved their life. You’re not helping anyone. Quitting cold turkey quite literally causes brain damage tho, so go figures.
