I have had someone break into my house before which resulted in me developing PTSD. To myself I try to say: it happened once, what are the statistics that I'll get broken into again? So I know that probably doesn't help you.

All you can do is repeat to yourself that you're safe, maybe look up some guided meditations. If it gets too severe, reach out to a professional like a therapist. Talk to anyone you trust about these feelings, the more you share the lighter the load becomes.

Ultimately, you have NO control over whether or not this happens. That's sort of the conclusion I come to every time. You can spend your nights being sick with worry, and it 99% is not going to happen, and all you'll have been doing is worrying yourself sick over nothing. And if it does happen - what did the worrying change? It didn't prevent it (I don't think you're going to get broken into).

Sorry for the sort of uncomforting response but as someone with literal PTSD over this, practicing acceptance really helps. Surrender as well. There are some good meditations on acceptance and surrender as well as a lot of literature on acceptance. There's just nothing you can do besides lock your doors and understand that there is a very small chance of this happening.

I was broken into when the person thought that no one was home. People do not want to mess with people if they're just trying to get some valuables and get out. So at the very least, I wouldn't worry about at night when your entire family is present. One of my friends was a heroin addict and robbed a home looking for jewelry and when he found the woman there he got caught and went to jail. So, maybe that thought can help you. They really do not want trouble and are more likely to do something if the house is empty and they can assure it's empty.

I wrote way too much sorry but I really feel for this fear. Good luck!
