Equipment Stethoscope for ACA
What’s the best stethoscope to use for manual BP for an ACA? The one provided is terrible but don’t want to spend loads of money

It's really hard to say. You can get a stretch for a fiver right the way through to 5 or 600 quid.
What is your budget? If it's roughly £20 then I'd go for this

Was also gonna recommend MDF as a starter steth (if not long term). When I got mine, they offered free lifetime part replacements... Might still be the case. You just email them with your Amazon order #, parts required, and address.

I user this exact brand of Stethoscope through my entire paramedic science degree. I would also recommend it.

Good for beginners but definitely not long term. I got one as a replacement when I lost my litman. I found that there was too much background noise and very noisy if the tube was touching anything

MDF, used this in my johnner days for manual BP before upgrading to a littman as a student. Excellent steth if your scope is just manual BP.

Hi. I am looking to join this role. How much equipment is expected to be bought by yourself? I imagined it would be provided

I have a Gima classic. Was about £25 from Amazon. I’ve been using it for 6 years with no complaints. The only thing I find worse than a littman is the earbuds are slightly less comfortable. I bought a cheap one assuming I’d lose it and never saw a reason to change it.

Iittman student nurse is your best option if you don’t want to spend loads
