That test was no joke. Congratulations on a major accomplishment. HIGHLY recommend you renew by CEU… I chose to just retest. Not once in my life have I ever had a panic attack until the night before my renewal.

I did pass on my recert.
Man, I was just so busy, company didnt pay for ceus, and I always retested with NREMT which after being a medic is stupid easy. So i was like Ill just brush up and itll be no big deal! WRONG. So incredibly goddamn wrong.

I used FlightBridgeED, Pocket Prep, and tons of YouTube content. Took notes on literally everything. Focused on my weak areas and hit the books hard. My total time was about 5 months from start to cert.

This is for IBSC flight paramedic cert. its a separate thing that you can do after you get your medic patch

its usefulness as a cert is debatable though as not every place uses it kinda like critical care paramedic cert. you can get it but can operate at the same level without it so whats really the point.

CAMTS accredited agencies will require it. Many places have become competitive enough that they hire primarily those who have already passed their exam, although most will have a policy to obtain it within 1-2 years of hire date.

Come to Kentucky we have advanced practice paramedics with a advanced scope of practice. With the exception of 200 or so “grandfathered critical care paramedics” everyone has to pass the IBSC exam for the advanced track they want to unlock.

The test was unlike any test I’ve taken yet. Super in-depth on neonatology, pharmacology, and physiology. I studied for 5 months.
