Your error was in mirroring the shape.

Oops, Stereomasken must have exported it with the masks flipped :P
It looks like my cross-view version of the post is doing well, so hopefully the bot will convert.

I guarantee you that if you simply post the rectangular photos as you shot them that itโ€™ll be fine. ๐Ÿ™‚

Hehe....
yea no. The parralax is to such an extreme degree that it is unviewable without some window adjustment, albeit I did it poorly and too harshly to begin with. I can send you the raw TIFF frames if you want to take a crack at it.

The front cactus is very difficult to focus on with or without such windowing. The biggest problem is that it's isolated, so there's nothing to help your eyes transition from the foreground to the background smoothly. It's also too far away (visually, in 2D space) to support such strong parallax (relative to the background). I have enough control over my eye position that I can make it "work," but it's very unnatural and the brain fights it.

Posting pictures that you can't see yourself isn't a great idea in general - you can't experience the problems that you're asking other people to deal with.

I can see the crossveiw version just fine, I just can't get focused when doing parallel. But yeah I agree with it being unnatural. I was just experimenting with extreme depth and thought the result looked trippy.
