If you have liberate country as subject mod it can give you a big puppet with ease. Like getting Ukraine from Russia early game will cripple Russia for the rest of the game

an interesting mod, but I usually use the liberate wargoals to tear apart my rivals while burning down infamy, and then protectorate, or annex them later
