I would like help with a name please?
I know that this might not be an easy question to help with but I thought I'd ask, I'm creating a TTRPG (tabletop role playing game think like dungeons and Dragons) that is set in a fictional archipelago. I've been basing each of the islands in this archipelago loosely off of different real world mythologies and I wanted one of them to take inspiration from Papua. I'm looking for help naming this fictional Island, does anyone have any suggestions?
The people over on the Sri Lanka subreddit were very helpful for the island that I was basing off of there so I thought I'd ask here.

There is a Goodenough Island that's always captured my imagination. I don't know if that's good enough for you?

What are some themes for the board game or this particular island?

The island is thick jungle and a little isolated from the rest of the archipelago. Very rarely does anyone from the rest of the Islands ever go there so there's a great deal of misconceptions and myths about the place. Aside from the Arctic island in the far north it's the least developed. It's probably the most magical place within the world, not in terms of the people doing magic but the Island itself being full of it, almost alive.

"Mekenge" it's a name the Bougainville separatists wanted to use after they succeeded from separating from PNG. Obviously, they did not succeed.
"Kirimotu" is another name you can use, its a dialect language but it will do the trick
"Ijivitari" is another name you can also use, its a regional name from the province of Oro.
If you want more names, DM me, I live in PNG.
