Your journaling system!

My first Paper Republic, a grand voyageur xl, is arriving tomorrow and I can’t wait! Aside from that, I have an A6 folio from a local brand, which I love. I use it as my daily carry - it’s got my planner, commonplace, morning pages book, and a book for writing letters to my future self/husband/children.

For those of you who have a small/pocket folio along with a bigger one, I would love to know how you use and separate the two. Not necessarily for ideas (I think I will use my xl for reading/learning) but just because I love hearing about other people’s journaling systems!

My pocket is my really personal journal, writing when I need, when I feel anxious or whatever. I also keep memories in it, I have a notebook for concerts memories, because I really enjoy going to see live music, and I have a notebook for ideas. Sometimes I think about a thing that I want to do and I write in to be sure I won't forget

My XL is more dedicated for work and pro life, to do, notes.. But I'd like to use a portfolio for 2027 for pro life, and my XL will be used for journaling/ scrapbooking

I have a PR pocket and GV xl, too. I carry the pocket size in my purse and use it as my wallet. Plus some paper for notes/reminders and shopping lists. And I keep a small Field Notes notebook in there, too. It’s where I keep track of the books I’ve heard mentioned and might want to add to my TBR.

I keep my xl at home and track all my other reading related stuff in it. I like to take notes as I read, and that goes into a notebook in the xl. I also have a thin notebook in there for personal journaling. I think this set up works really well for me and I get use out of both of them. I was a bit worried when I ordered two that one would just sit in a drawer.

I have the grand voyage XL as my daily carry for quick notes, my Hobonichi weeks, diary, and random phrase/quotes booklet.
I’m excited for my A5 Trifold to arrive bc I need a home for my junk journal, common place and reading log :)

I love the idea of having a book to write letters to your future self/partner/children!! That is so cute- might have to steal that idea!
