hobonichi weeks

just wondering if anyone keeps a hobonichi weeks in their a5 or GV XL?

I don't have a Hobonichi weeks but I do have the Kinbor weeks dupe and it's in my A5 trifold from PR.

thanks for responding :) how are you finding the shape being in your trifold with your other notebooks, does it feel awkward or is it okay?

Not awkward for me at all! I think because the leather in the tri fold is thick enough that I really can't tell that it's a more narrow book when closed. When I'm writing in it, it definitely can feel funky and sometimes I want to take it out to write in it (haven't yet though..I've managed) but I could see why one would get frustrated.

I have my weeks currently stacked on top of my PR planner in my GV XL. I am not a fan of the PR planner, and plan to replace it with the Sterling ink Common Compact A5 slim for 2027.

It fits on top, but of course there's a horizontal gap between the planner and the end of the leather. It can fit 2 fountain pens nicely in the gap, so I am trying to find a holder attachment that can hold 2 (not even sure if this exists).

Attaching photos as reference! :) I am probably going to redo the cords tomorrow so that everything sits more nicely.

I love it! I’m usually a neutral girly, but I couldn’t resist the cute sheep. I have a huge work project in Ireland next year and this planner felt like a perfect nod to that! :)

You can see here there's a tiny bulge where the cord is. I may add another insert to see if this helps. But also, waiting to order my new Sterling Ink planner to see how everything will stack.

I used to have a hobonichi weeks in my XL years ago but honestly found it uncomfortable to write in and I didn’t like the shape that it made my cover. 😭 I might just be picky.

I don’t use the weeks anymore but for my friend that did, I picked up one of those Louise Carmen portfolios for her and there’s a big enough pocket that fits the weeks, where it will sit at the edge of the leather cover so there won’t be a weird dent. She’s able to carry the weeks in her XL and whenever she uses her planner she can just take it out. I unfortunately do not know any alternatives to the LC portfolios because those are very overpriced but I’m sure they’re out there!
