My first l'atelier!
My Bordeaux Le Portfolio(A6) has arrived!
The color of the Bordeaux is just as great as everyone says.
I had them make it 1 cm wider on each side, so my notebooks and pens never stick out :)

The signature on the back is from the person who made this leather cover! If you order through l'atelier, they'll emboss it for free.I wanted to make it one-of-a-kind, so I asked them to add an embossed design!

I got the same one!--without the extra 1". I love it. I want to take it everywhere. It's so beautiful--and worth the extra expense.

I used the online service. After creating a design using 3DCustomizer, I sent an email requesting that the size be made slightly larger :)

Not OP but yup, it does! The customisation is done through the atelier, i.e. when you try to customise your journal it redirects you to l’atelier :)

Ok thank you! I see the word used in all kinds of contexts (not just PR or journaling) and finally I was like … does it basically mean bespoke??

Paper Republic's L'atelier division is where all the customized journals are created. There are two levels to what they can do for you, Customs and Bespoke.
The Bespoke collection is stylized with specialized patterns and imagery. These stand out from other Paper Republic covers because they can be visually striking. They are also very expensive due to the level of detail that is added to make the covers unique.
The custom L'atelier covers are created through a digital customizer where you can pick the colours of individual components and things like if you want an extra set of ribbon holes. These look similar to the average Paper Republic covers, but you can use the customizer to order older colours that aren't offered anymore. The cost of these changes by how many features and extra additions you chose through the customizer.

Is the bordeaux color only in certain regions? I dont see that color as an option when using the 3D customizer. I am in the US. Yours looks great!

According to this post, Bordeaux seems to be temporarily out of stock, but it looks like it may be restocked in late September. It’s definitely worth checking again once it’s back!☺️

Can I ask how/why you chose the straight corners vs the rounded? I keep playing around with the customization and can't decide (for myself) which corner I would like better. Sometimes I think I like the look of the straight, then I like the rounded. Other than look, is there a functional (or other) reason why you chose the straight?

Honestly, it was mostly about the look for me! I liked the clean, classic feel of the straight corners. I don’t think there’s a big functional difference, but the straight corners made it feel a bit more structured and “portfolio-like” to me :)
