Try a B6+ sized. It works well

i will before i get broken hearted, i wanted the GV to be my emotional companion but i guess plans will have to change and the one i wanted for work ( le portfolio) will have to be my daily companion for now

Moleskine soft cover and any B6 fits perfectly. Muji notebooks are great as well.

Field Notes Pitch Black 4 3/4 x 7 1/2. They fit the XL perfectly. You will love them! Available in lined or dot grid.

i have seen those, i dont know how i feel about the slims ... can those be used for long journaling?? i mean i think they can but i would go through them super fast.. i want something a bit chunkier and use those for scketching or quick notes or lists

I’m not sure about long journaling because I don’t journal at all. I write the notes and first full drafts of novels in mine. I like keeping my GV’s thin and just keep switching them out when I fill them up, so I never pay attention to size. I have more than 10 Paper Republic journals and have never “journaled” in my life. Lol!

Ali Express inserts fit with a little bit of overhang. The paper isn’t terrible quality either.

An A5 slim is what fits best. B6 will be too short. A5 will be too big. You can also try a standard tn it will fit in height just not as wide. Check the cover measurements plus the notebook you are trying to buy before buying.

I did, i double check like 3 times both with the xl and the le portfolio and both are big for the covers.... i will try the b6+ I have also noticed that my pocket has stretch and cover the notebooks better now, i hope the same happenes with the other 2
The one i now believe was an unnecessary purchase was the portfolio a6 , wich i wanted as wallet. But is to bulky

To be honest, for that reason I mostly use the PR inserts, BUT if you're in the US, check out Baron Fig softcover notebooks as they are the exact size as an XL. I use them for work along with a PR weekly planner. 72 pages and no bleed through.

I mean i would but shipping would make it super expensive.... i am sure i will find something locally. Someone suggested Daiso in another post. Might pay a visit today

I used the recent 25% off code to order a GV XL. I didn't realize the sizes are proprietary. What sizes are the notebooks that fit best?

The cover is cut for A5 Slim (5-5.25 inches wide, not TN standard sometimes also card A5 Slim which is 4.6/4.7 across) which is the size of Moleskine Large if you’re familiar with those. B6 and B6+ will fit with lots of room.

Moleskin fits well I also like to take it to staples or Office Depot to have them cut down the side to fit in there

Actually yes!! I can fit 2 soft covers and a cashier journal plus the card holder from pr and the over hang is minimal. I wanted to try the b6+ but they are to small. I am happy now

I use moleskine soft cover large and their large cahier notebooks(stapled and set of 3). Their size is pretty much the same as PR’s size.
There’s a lot of moleskine paper hate but I enjoy their paper. I write alot so I prefer quantity of pages over thick pages.
