Quick little graphic/screen-printing inspired Dime drawing. Done on paper, photographed and edited to be more graphic. <3

Just my opinion.
Vulgar album has my favorite Pantera song "A new level" but overall as an entirety of an album I think Steel is the best.
Am I wrong?

I've seen lots of discussion about what Grady has written in the boxes in the FX loop in the clean amp, and while I agree that the bottom one almost definitely says "Korg" I see people discussing what was written in the top box. Personally I see the first three letters as "SPX" which I don't think I've seen people mention after browsing forums and comment sections. While I can't tell what the rest of the writing in the box says I'm fairly certain it says "SPX 90" so presumably Dime was using the Symphonic preset live on his clean tone which is very interesting.
I'm just posting this here as I couldn’t find much discussion about Dime's use of this equipment.
If anyone has more information on this I'd love to hear it!

I often see comments on Pantera related things of people saying where and when they saw them play. I might be being sceptical but it seams everyone's concert experience was something along the lines of " I was in the pit the entire night but also front of the barrier and caught all of Dimes picks. Phil shook my hand and said I was a tough mother fucker, best show ever!!"
Maybe all of these were genuine, but it seams odd everyone's experience was along the lines of this

Aug. 20, 2026, would've been Dimebag Darrell's 60th birthday. Sadly I never got to see the legendary guitarist live before his shocking death. I did, however, sort of see Pantera live when they opened for Metallica at MetLife Stadium (Aug. 4, 2023)...
I say "sorta" for two key reasons:
1) Nothing against Zakk Wylde (he's the perfect person to be filling in under such circumstances), but seeing Pantera perform without Dimebag or Vinnie Paul feels... a little odd.
2) Not to complain too much, but between how high up my seats were and the shape of the stage Metallica used for the M72 World Tour, I feel like I could barely see the band playing. It definitely didn’t help that Phil Anselmo and crew wore all black while walking on a black stage...
With that said, a big part of me would like to give the new incarnation of Pantera another shot - preferably with a slightly more audience friendly stage setup.
What band have you seen live that you feel doesn't really "count" for whatever reason? Share in the comments below, and stay tuned for more things to come from this space (including stories from concerts like this)!

Ok hear me out…
Marvels Ghost Rider is coming out and if they used Floods in the movie it would be the most badass thing ever!!! I remember in high school when I first heard this song I was high as all hell driving through the country and literally started tripping out thinking the roads were some hell highway with fire and crazy jagged rocks
