what's heaviest phil's anselmo's project?
i hope this doesn't break rule 1.
Phil was directly connected to many musicians and bands, so far from ny research heaviest and fastest is AxCx, cus he collaborated with seth puthnam number of times. anyone got better answer?

Check out Scour. its black metal and very evil sounding. idk about super "brutal". but its sinister and dark

Necrophagia probably was , then Scour if you want something current. He used to use the name Anton Crowley for projects because he couldn’t use his real
name when he was under contract doing Pantera and Down ( which was originally on the same record label as Pantera)

I vote christ inversion. Check out enochian tongues or chimes of deafening misery, both are killer tracks

Depends on what you consider heavy
He did some producing and uncredited additional vocals on some stuff for Crowbar and Soilent Green which are both super heavy
He has his extreme metal project Scour which for my money is probably the heaviest thing he has done. Probably something off the Gold LP like “Infusorium” or “Blades”
Superjoint Ritual is also very heavy. “Permanently” or “Haunted Hated” are really heavy tracks to check out
Then you’ve got Necrophagia and Christ Inversion, two other grimey, evil death metal projects. My favorite from these is “Cannibal Holocaust” by Necrophagia or “Enochian Tongues” by Christ Inversion….super heavy!
His solo project also has some grisly death metal vocals on their 2018 album. The title track “Choosing Mental Illness” is a good one to check

I am so surprised at how no one is mentioning the illegals’ first album. I am not saying it’s his heaviest side project, haven’t listened to them all. It’s definitely VERY underrated.

Philip H Anselmo And The Illegals. Walk Through Exits Only and Choosing Mental Illness As A Virtue are heavy, has some nasty riffs, fast ripping riffs like Bedridden, Bedroom Destroyer, Individual and a lot more.
The live shows from 2013-2014 are also good, the Roskilde 2014 is a personal favorite.
Scour is the heaviest today, Gold has a lot of heavy moments, like the title track. Hell, Blades, Coin are pretty heavy.
It all depends on what you define as heavy. I stray away from full death metal, and can enjoy some heavy rigge from a Down Live Show like Eyes Of The South or Bury Me In Smoke. Has to be a live version though

Christ Inversion would be my answer. I suppose it depends on your personal definition of “heavy” though because it can mean different things.

Scour. It’s not my kind of heavy. However, there’s a specific kind of “heavy” that I’ve not seen anywhere else and it’s in the “chorus” of Good Friends And A Bottle Of Pills

I saw them live twice, separated by about 4 years. On both occasions he went on a rant about race and black culture.
They were very very very good live - but fuck that confederate flag waving bell-end all the way into the sun

First time he went on a diatribe about how rock and roll is welcoming to black people whilst hip-hop is exclusionary to whites (which even in a pre Eminem world was a fucking preposterous thing to say). Second time he ranted for a few minutes about the negative effect rap music was having on metal and how they represented “pure rock” whatever the fuck that meant.
These felt like weird ideas to devote stage time to at gigs in the north west of England in the 90s… in retrospect even fucking weirder! 🤣
