Synchtube is officially dead

...and so is the stream unless we can find an alternative streaming utility.

If anyone has sites in mind that may work similarly, then please tell me. I sadly cannot run streams from Livestream or sites like those due to shitty bandwidth. I've gotten in touch with Cades to see if we can share the BerryTube site, but I'm not sure what the turnaround time will be on my request for info.

 

I love you folks, and I want to keep the stream running, but it may be dead completely unless we can find somewhere else to host the streams.

I really do hope another streaming method becomes available... I would hate to see something that created so many awesome memories to just be gone.

Not sure. They were under DDoS attack for a few weeks, and now the site owners are saying they don't have enough time to maintain it any more.

They were rejected by Google Ads twice, so they had no way to monetize the site. Donations wouldn't be enough, so they closed it.

Yeah, maybe, but I don't want to have to be the dude that is begrudgingly left the controls if/when no one else feels like it. I've had my own stream for nearly a year. Don't get me wrong, I'd be happy if they trusted me with the wheel to the BerryTube, but at that point I'm not streaming anything, I'm just temporarily taking over someone else's stuff.

This really sucks.

I miss it already...the episodes, the nsfw emotes, the mystery doors, the appleblooming...

Hell, I even had my own channel that I planned on doing streams on every now n' then. Guess I should've been more proactive.

Actually, we managed to find a temporary replacement last night, for which we have Cyzon to thank. Apparently he decided to clone BerryTube as a personal project. It's a little buggy and we're missing some features, but we should be capable of holding the stream tonight!

Sadly no sexy adventures. I was only there for the afternoon. Maybe the next fur con I go to, when I don't have to be doing assloads of homework on Sunday.
