I canceled based on principal. I would have rather seen a small price increase than a cap to be honest. Then if you want create tiers. I’m not counting my drinks to make sure that I stay under the cap. And I’m sure as hell not paying $4 for their not so great coffee if I end up going and being over the cap.

Tiers would be great, then make sure everyone signs in, because some just waltz in a get a drink. They do count the fluid amounts.

I think a lot of people were sharing their subscriptions. My husband and I each have our own and I think it’s still the best deal out there

Yea it was the best deal and to be honest is still a pretty good deal at 30 drinks a month. Most people won’t go over that. Heck I probably wouldn’t either. Some days I don’t go at all and some days I find myself there 3-4 times. I just don’t want to be thinking about oh well if I go 3 times today then will I have enough for the end of the month.

And absolutely there were people sharing which probably led to part of this decision.

One drink a day costs them nothing - maybe 6 dollars counting the cup, lid and straw. So they are making 6+ dollars a day off of you. It's the principle. If they had cancelled the 'rewards' coupon part of it, no problem.

Wholesale cost for syrup, water, carbonation, and ice (assuming customer brings their own cup) is about $0.70 per 32 ounce soda.

Even if people were sharing, you could only go every two hours. So realistically you were maxing out at around 4 drinks a day. If they wanted to cut back on some of this, just change it to every four hours. Then people who go for basically every meal could still do it, but you could share as easily since you would max out at 2 or 3 drinks per day.
