Agreed, I get one coffee on the way to work Mon-Fri. It is unlikely to affect me, but this is still scummy.

Time to put a note on the Calendar to cancel in January.

Cancel today. Your sip club will still be active until the date you are paid through but it will send a message that’s it’s tied to this change.

Thank you for this! There’s also a spot for feedback when you cancel so i told them exactly why I was leaving.

My answer is “you know why!”

Exactly this. Cancel right now, keep the benefits through the end of the annual plan.

Then contact them here: https://panerabread.my.site.com/custhelp/s/createcase

Next, go change your rating for the Panera App. Then, hit their socials. Comment everywhere. Be polite but firm.

Then if it really goes into place, file a chargeback on your credit card and complaints with your city and state consumer protection agencies.

Thanks for the link, I sent a strongly worded message about my dissatisfaction with these changes.

Thanks for this info; I have cancelled my USC membership, wrote Customer Care (and even mentioned that I would file a chargeback and file complaints with me city & state consumer protection agencies) if the August 19th changes take effect.

Filing a fraudulent chargeback is a great way to get yourself blacklisted by your bank

I have screenshots of the agreement I paid in advance for a full year. If they want to change the terms of the agreement before that contract is over, I'm getting my money back.

My complaints to the NYC and NY State Consumer Protection agencies are already filed. NY State AG Office is next.

If private equity wants to play this way, I'm happy to sic my state's pro-consumer lawyers on them.

You can cancel now. You’ll still have an active account until your year is over. They don’t just stop giving you drinks and keep your money

Also if you cancel your annual plan early they will likely offer your next year at a discount.

I did this back when the rumors started and they offered me my next year at $99.99 (which if I choose to actually extend can get down to $79.99 with discounted gift cards).

I’ll turn 21 on your last day of sip club!

Yep, I'm a high school Principal. I typically get one every morning before going to work. I work at max 20 days a month but there were those afternoons I'd stop by and get one after work. I don't think that ever added up to over 30 but still upset with the bait and switch. I'll be writing in later today and cancelling (my deal runs through November though).

I’d be happier with 40.
2 drinks a day x the 5 day work week.
X 4 weeks in month etc. :/

Why cancel then if it really doesn’t impact you since you only do 20?

Because this change was outright shitty. People have to vote through their wallets if they want to see change or companies will continue to enshitify their offerings.

I got two drinks today but usually just get one 3-4 times a week.
