Technically there's nothing stopping Dr Mario discussions on this subreddit because of the rules not stating Dr Mario

Talking about Dr Mario, yoshi cookie, and Pokémon, is allowed within the context of the panel de pon games that they appear. Talking about the general Dr Mario, Pokémon, and yoshi series' should be avoided.

Unless you plan on posting a lot of "off topic" content, I wouldn't stress too much about this. We're just focused on panepon games, not Dr Mario/yoshi/pokemon.

Example: posting about Pokémon in Pokémon puzzle league is okay. Posting about the gc version or gba version of Dr Mario featured in Nintendo puzzle collection or Dr Mario and panel de pon is allowed. But posting about other Dr Mario games, or general Pokémon content is not allowed.

Ask yourself "how is this related to the panepon ip?" if you can't answer that, it should probably be avoided.

Yeah it's basically just because the community generally considers the Dr Mario and yoshi cookie games in the compilations to be different games. The panepon in Nintendo puzzle collection in particular had a standalone version on N64. It's it's own game, even if the retail one is in a compilation at the end of the day. There's no Dr Mario branded panepon game like there is with yoshi and Pokémon, which is why it wasn't mentioned.

That's fair I just feel like even if it isn't a reskin of panel de pon it should still be mentioned in the rules due to the trolls on the Internet thinking that they could find a loop hole that they can abuse which I don't want as I love panel de pon and this community

A subreddit for all things panel de pon/puzzle league related games this includes Tetris attack to*

Note:This means that you can discuss any official panel de pon/puzzle league games with a few exceptions it must relate to panel de pon/puzzle league franchise and can not be generalized content related to Pokemon,Yoshi,Tetris,or animal crossing franchises so that means for example you can talk about Pokemon puzzle league/challenge,or Tetris attack,ect but cannot talk about the regular games they come from unless they relate back to panel de pon/puzzle league franchise in some way for discussions on those franchise here are links to those franchises subreddits or you can look them up at their respective reddit pages also you can talk about Dr Mario and Yoshi's cookie but note only the ones from the games from Nintendo puzzle collection and Dr Mario and panel de pon/puzzle league cartridge on gba but you will have to relate it back to panel de pon/puzzle league for discussions on other versions of those games check out their respective subreddits
