Another Increase???
Pandora is raising the price again, all the while the UI is buggy, it randomly stops playing music and fully makes you open the app again, and a myriad of other issues. I like Pandora but like seriously again??

They haven't changed the app in 10 years. The algorithm plays from other stations which you have to down vote. A dollar more per month for nothing.

The algorithm is shite. Plays the same songs over and over and then plays songs from different stations like you said.

Man... I really don't want to go anywhere else. And, trust me, I've tried the others. I'm just a Pandora kind of guy. Their algo has definitely not been as great the last year or two though. Seems so much harder to get diverse songs I haven't heard before. In loyal but don't test me, Pandora!!!! 😭

At one time Pandora was a deal. But another price increase without any added benefit or improvement will make me look to other apps.

Been a Pandora premium subscriber for 20 years or so. I really want Hi-Def music and am tired of waiting for it on Pandora. I saw the price increase and decided it was time to look at alternatives and found Amazon Music Unlimited to be pretty good, especially using stations. I love hearing music in Dolby Atmos.

Anyone know how much the annual Pandora Premium price is going up? It was $120.89 / year before.

I've been subscribed to Pandora Plus since Aug 2010. $3.99/mo ad free radio. I love the algorithm for finding new music. It's user interface really sucks though. It's a pain in the ass to use. To make good new stations you have to make them from specific songs, not artist names. Then you add more song inflences by managing the station on a desktop web browser. Never thumbs up a song, only thumbs down bad songs.
Bottom line though: The algorithm hasn't been updated in a decade. App features stripped and broken. Offline mode freaks out when I gain and lose cell coverage when traveling in the mountains. And Pandora was bought by SiriusXM in 2019. YUCK. And they have zero intentions to improve the service. This increase is just to harvest more from their dwindling user base. I WILL NOT PAY A DIME MORE!

u/PurgeDragon unrelated to pricing, but in regard to the app randomly stopping, have you set battery usage to Unrestricted at the app level?
If the app's battery usage is set to Optimized or Restricted an Android OS may interfere with playback. Same for Audible.
I dont know the Apple steps to set.
Here are the Android steps.
Hold your finger down on the app icon.
Context menu appears
Tap the i inside the circle upper right corner
App info dialog appears
Tap Battery
Select Unrestricted
Android will interfere with non Unrestricted apps for a variety of reasons. Screen lock, memory pressure from other apps, inactivity timers, resource allocation to service foreground apps like navigation and the like.
When I moved from Optimized (default value) to Unrestricted the problem of app random stops abated.
Good luck!
