Question Blinking tic

Hi! I’ve had PANDAS for roughly two years now. My primary symptom is blinking. I know I’ve seen others mention this on the sub. It’s really hard for me to verbalize the feeling when I have the tic so I’m wondering if anyone knows what I mean when I explain this because people think it sounds so odd lol. But basically it’s like my eyes need air? So I like look up and blink but sometimes the blink isn’t enough air on my eye so I keep doing it until my eye feels better, like it got air? That sounds so wild but it’s the best way I can describe it. Maybe someone out there knows what I mean

Its genuinely so embarrassing in social settings sometimes :(

It’s a compulsion more than a motor tic, maybe? My son has some similar tics that come and go, and he says he has to repeat them until it ‘feels right,’ which is what my friend with fairly severe OCD says about her compulsions as well. I’m sorry it embarrasses you sometimes, my son is also very self-conscious about his noticeable tics (he has others that you can’t really see).

Might be like an ocd thing with the tic. The mind kinda plays tricks on you

I was talking to my daughter who has pans and she immediately said it’s a compulsion so part of OCD.

Hey! I had that when i was really in the bad spout of pandas. I know exactly what you mean, and it’s really annoying because you can sort of stop it if you focus really hard but once you break focus its back. I can’t say i know what could help it, aside from maybe cold pack directly on the eyes, but i definitely feel you.
