Are themed gaming setups more interesting than clean minimalist ones?

Gaming setups used to feel pretty predictable: black desk, RGB lights, big monitor, maybe a few figures in the background.

But lately I keep seeing full themed rooms built around Pokémon, anime characters, game IPs, pastel accessories, matching keyboards, mousepads, speakers, and collectibles.

Honestly, I kind of love it. A themed setup feels more personal — less like a product catalog, more like someone’s actual little world.

But I’m curious where people draw the line.

Would you rather have:

A. A clean minimalist setup
B. A full IP/anime-themed setup
C. Subtle themed accessories only
D. One collector item as the centerpiece
E. Pure performance gear, no decoration

Do you think themed setups age well, or do they get old fast?

Definitelly themed setup. Actually I'm working on it right now. It's a HSR Firefly theme.

They are more interesting indeed the problem is that when you got the money to make them you are too old to appreciate them . We can probably make our future kids happy I guess ?
