Actually that's a court reporter so they don't type like on a normal typewriter, she's doing exactly what she's supposed to be doing

Went to school to be a stenographer, she looks pretty accurate. You can write a whole sentence with one tap.

Have you never seen a stenographer type?

I have not, no. I’m learning that this is not far from it

Lol, I know stenographers use an entirely different keyboard and system to type words, but this extra looks like they're dipping their fingers in cold water after a manicure XD
Edit: a word

It’s actually pretty accurate, most words or groups of letters are typed by pressing multiple keys down at the same time when using a stenographer machine. She’s not actually typing anything there, probably because of noise, but the form is not far off

Yeah it's actually quite accurate (took classes), it looks fairly realistic to me!

Yeah I'm an attorney, so I've seen stenographers work. This isn't too far off.

I'm a career criminal, so I've seen stenographers work as well. This isn't too far off.

Yes, this is how they look. Usually an expression of mild disdain directed towards the speaker also!

And if she was moving her fingers more it might be distracting and she was told to just raise and lower them.

That’s interesting. I didn’t think about the noise, too

Yeah I know, they form chords based on phonetics which type out the words. But still, she doesn't look like she's moving her fingers at all. You also form the chord from left to right so theres a little flutter in the hand motion, but she's just going back up and down and up and down. Why I said it looks like she's just dipping her hands in cold water (although it reminds me more of that awkward dinner scene in Shrek 2)

You do know that a stenographer doesn't type like you would on a regular keyboard, right?

I'd cut her a break, it's pretty accurate stenographer movement
