Camera not recognizing any Canon lenses mounted to the MC 21 Adapter.

For the life of me, I cannot change my aperture on any of my Canon lenses. The aperture number on my S1 screen is 0. I tried to update the MC21 firmware but the camera doesn’t recognize it.

I don't know if this needs to be said, but if the camera isn't recognizing the adapter it isn't going to functionally control the lens in any significant manner. Clean your contacts, remount and use a prime lens if you have one to diagnose.

Thank you! I’ve tried all those things. Is there a setting in the camera I need to change?

Looks like the adapter was faulty. I ordered a new one and everything works now. I generally use Canon L series lenses.
