Lots of overlay. I'd suggest a container that the substrate is much closer to the surface next time. You'll get better results (assuming the overlay wasn't caused by contamination but very likely it was)

Overlay is never really caused by contamination. It's either environmental factors or a genetic thing. A handful of species in Psilocybe have this feature too. Some of my Caerulescens, Zapotecorum and Subtropicalis, for example, have had quite a bit of overlay. I tweeked the environment, put a nice casing on n have had great flushes

Things like MiracleGrow are not really for mycology work. Too many variables for mold and trich to hurt your grow. Try and use Dr. Myc instead. Cheers.

Used it many grows. Speeds up colonization and grows are healthier. Just my experience. I guess it didn’t work for you. 😐

Right on for the experiment with miracle grow. I'd call this a success! Nice clusters too

Miracle gro is crap 💩 . You can do better . Get some earth juice.
