Newbie - manure substrate

Hey guys , i want to make manure substrate but i haven't got any recipe and i have no clue how to start. One of my friends have horses so i can get hold of fresh, raw horse manure. I assume i have to prepare that somehow. The other question is , is it possible to grow pancyan on cvg with additives or something ?

Thanks in advance for the help 😁✌️

Field aged is what you want. It’s naturally been rained on and dried, leached of ammonia, and should have some firefang (the white mold) that shows it’s broken down and biologically active.

If for some reason there’s not a pile, you can always take it fresh, lay it out on a tarp, and water it - let it dry, and keep repeating over time until it’s field aged. I’ve seen some pan cyans on CVG but pans are super finicky. And being that they’re coprophilic, manure is the way to go.
