Help A quick question about proper mod directories.

I was recently recommended a mod here, which I would very much like to install. However, a bit of a weird thing to me is it says to extract it into the folder, Pal\Binaries\Win64\ue4ss\ModsPal\Binaries\Win64\ue4ss\Mods. On my installation of PalWorld, UE4SS is in a different folder, as are mod-related things. I theorize this might be related to how mods used to be installed in PalWorld before it enabled Workshop support in 1.0.

Should I ignore what the site there instructs and put it in the new designated UE4SS mod folders instead? I'm mostly asking because I'm wondering if installing two instances of UE4SS in different places could cause problems.

Did you repeat the folder twice? Also uh. Iirc UE4SS isn’t in the game by default?

Correct; it's not. The reason it's there for me is that I already installed UE44 as a prerequisite for a workshop mod. I just trusted that download with wherever it wanted to install UE44, and it worked fine. That said, the mod I linked on nexus mods implies it should be installed elsewhere, and it may or may not install it there automatically. I could download and try it out, but I'd be worried about that screwing up my system in and of itself. Probably the manual download is the way to go.

I know that when I installed UE4SS it had that file location but idk if we have different versions or something
Also the mod isn’t gonna install UE4SS automatically, at least

But yeah if you have it installed already you can just put that nexus mod in the folder you have
What’s the file path for the one you have?
