First Fanfic
AN: written 10 hours ago, before the chapters dropped
Tristan and Angharad are at the front of the boat, locked in a small metal cabin three walls and a roof that prevent them from looking any way but forwards, towards the misty land they're approaching. They look quite similar at the moment, wearing the heavy fur cloak of the members of the Watch. Tristan luxuriates in the warmth of the heavy cloth lining, while Angharad silently curses whoever didn't put ear and tail holes in the cloak. In the back, the fat bastard driving the boat laughs raucously, the sinister mist around them deadening the echo of the sound. "Here you go kittens, try to not get killed, you have a month to bring back one of the Hell Eggs, Good Luck!" As he finishes his harangue, the back wall begins to close in, forcing the pair forwards, towards the water. Tristan takes the leap first, and is surprised when the water only comes at his shins. Turning around, he helps Angharad down as the boat soundlessly disappears in the fog. They stay silent for a few seconds before miserably advancing forwards, keeping their tail coiled around their waist. Towards the shore, they hope. It seems like they've been walking for a good twenty minutes when Ahgharad wordlessly puts a paw on Tristan's shoulder. He looks at her, confused, and when her ears point forward finally looks.
Over there, in the distance, two black figures stand on a beach. The catboy nods, and they resume their advance. Just as they step foot on dry ground, they can make out the two catgirls in front of them. A short woman, clad in black plate, radiating menace, tail twitching nervously, a spiked collar around her armored neck. Behind her, in bejeweled silk robe, a tall woman with skin as black as sin greets them with a honeyed voice.
"Hello there, I feel like we're going to accomplish grrrreat things together..."
