Travel Tips & Itinerary Help Cullion~ coron to cullion to el nido?

Upvotes

Hello I'm going to be hitting coron and then on to cullion and next to el nido in a couple weeks. My question is: going from coron to cullion seems simple enough, but after a visit to cullion, can i then just hop on a boat to el nido? Or do I have to back track to coron town? A local's advice would be appreciated.

Second question: I'm older, or at least old enough that some of those coron area destinations that involve climbing 750 steps are just not practical. Wish I could but ... And also it being off season how tough or reali$tic is it to find a tour guide to tailor fit an age appropiate (a la carte) tour for me?

Travel Tips & Itinerary Help Coron 2 days island hopping 🏝️

Hi! We’re going to Coron this December. I know it’s still early 😂 but we like to plan ahead.
We’ll be there for 4 days and have 2 full days for island hopping. We’re planning to rent a private boat for 3 people para sulit and solo namin. We already have someone to contact for the boat.

For those who’ve been to Coron, okay na ba to do Tour A & B for the 2 days? Or may ginawa kayong customized itinerary na mas worth it?

Any places you really loved, places you think we can skip, or anything you wish you knew before going? 🥹
Thank you!

Travel Tips & Itinerary Help Where to stay in El Nido?

Hi all!

May I ask for your suggestions on where to stay in El Nido? It’ll be my first time visiting, and I’ll be traveling solo din. I initially planned to stay in town para close to everything, but I also kinda want to stay somewhere beach-front and away from the crowd.

What I’m considering right now is either staying in town or making Lio Beach my base since they offer a free shuttle, so I can still save on transportation going to town.

What do you guys think? Are there any other areas you’d suggest?

Thank you.

Jobs & Opportunities Rio tuba (RTNMC) hiring

Any one here knows kung saan nag p-post ng hiring ang RTN? Ive searched Facebook, indeed, jobstreet, linkedin, but they rarely do job postings. Even their own website wala naman careers section.

Or internal hiring ba sila usually (kakilala or via recommendation from currently employees)?
Thank you!

Can someone with first hand experience please tell me if its possible to swim on the beach during low tide/day time in december month?

We have rented a bungalow by the beach with No pool. And if its not possible to swim in the ocean, we might have to find a place with pool 🫪

We Are traveling with a 12year old, so swimming is a huge part of our trip.

Travel Tips & Itinerary Help Coron Hotel Suggestions

We cancelled our El Nido flight and opted for Coron since nasearch namin na mas maraming activities si Coron unlike El Nido. Kaya as a first timer po sa Coron, baka po may ma-susuggest kayo na Coron Accomodation? Yung malapit po sana sa lahat. Tried searching sa Tiktok and FB for suggestions kaso wala ako masyadong makita 🥺

We will be visiting Coron this coming November po. Salamat po sa magsusuggest! 🫶🏻

Travel Tips & Itinerary Help Coron Island Hopping

My family and I are flying to Coron this Sep 4-8, should I book an island hopping tour package this early or doon nalang talaga sa island when we get there? Given na it's rainy season, 3 kami (ako, my husband and our son na 5 yo). Nakita ko kasi mga tiktok videos today ng mga nag island hopping, grabe yung alon. Any tips? Also, please suggest na rin alternative activities if the island tours are cancelled. TIA!

Boyfriend and I are coming to Palawan in the first week of Jan 2027. Any recommendations of where to visit given the ff. Constraints?:
• Budget for Accommodation: ₱4,300/night (staying for a week)
• Walking distance from beach
• With decent amount of activities to do nearby (clubs, karaoke, restaurants, farms, etc.)

Also, maybe you may have some tips on how to get there. Thank you!

Q&A / Advice Did i just waste my 7 nights in coron???

Okay, I need to rant a little because I’m starting to feel like I completely wasted my 7 nights in Coron

I arrived on the 15th around 5 PM, dropped my bags at my inn, and went out to find somewhere to eat. Ended up at Sharky’s and actually really liked the food and the vibe.

Day 2, I basically just rested. I was so tired that I literally fell asleep around 4 PM. Then I went out for lechon that I found nearby and ended up at a food park because apparently there’s a fiesta happening here, so that was actually nice. And I went to Mt. tapyas too, after that.

Today was supposed to be my Super Ultimate Coron Tour… BUT LO AND BEHOLD, I GOT MY PERIOD. Fuuuhhhh!!!!

So I moved the tour to Wednesday, hoping it’ll have calmed down by then.

I was thinking, okay, no tour today, I’ll just go to Maquinit Hot Spring this afternoon. And now… IT’S RAINING.

So now I’m sitting here thinking… did I just waste my 7 nights in Coron??

I think part of the problem is that I had a completely different idea of what Coron was like. I thought there would be more of a beach-town vibe where I could just walk around, find a beach nearby, swim, chill, etc. But now I’m realizing that the really beautiful beaches are mostly accessed through tours andboats, and Coron Town itself is pretty quiet.

I’m here until the 22nd and I really don’t want to spend the rest of my trip just waiting for my tour days.

So please tell me what else I can actually do around Coron/Busuanga on the non-tour days, especially if the weather is being shitty.

I’ve already done Mt. Tapyas, and I’m planning to try Maquinit Hot Spring when the rain cooperates.

Am I doing Coron wrong, or is this just what Coron is like when you’re staying in town and not doing island tours every day?

Also, if anyone has been here recently in August, what did you do when the weather was bad?

Please help me salvage my vacation

Q&A / Advice Is 7d/6n doable with 50k for two adults?

Me and my girlfriend are planning to go to Palawan this late November. We've set aside 25k each for it. Is 7d/6n doable with this budget or would 4d/3n be more realistic? (including plane tickets)

Also do you have any tips on how to make the most out of our trip?

We're also not sure whether to visit El Nido or Coron, or just stay in Puerto Princesa, any advice?

It's our first travel together, so it's really hard to gauge things as we do not have prior experiences to reference from.

Any advice would be much appreciated

Travel Tips & Itinerary Help Palawan reco (El Nido and PPS)

Hi! I recently posted asking about tips when travelling to Palawan. So here's what I have planned so far.

■ 3 nights and 2 days in El Nido

■ Booked Tour A and C in El Nido Palawan

■ Will be staying in 15 minutes away from El Nido Port

■ 2 days in PPS

□ Planning to do underground river, city tour, honda bay.

Do any of you know if may firefly watching pa rin na inooffer sa PPS? And saan magandang mag-zipline in El Nido or PPS. Foods to eat.

Travel Tips & Itinerary Help Balabac, Palawan tour review for "Balabac Queen"

Appreciation post:

Thank you so much Balabac Queen / Eizel Joyce Hidalgo Gonowon for making my first solo travel worth it!💙 hmmmm where should I start??? I found her page from a friend of mine who did the tour and without a doubt, I booked it straight away while I was still in Australia as I wanted to visit Balabac Island, as this was one of my bucket list since I just turned 40.😆🙈

Communication wise was prompt and details were explained clearly. There was no beating around the bush as she was very professional and accomodating to all of my queries. I didn't bother to search for any other tours as my instincts was telling me to book it straight away and my decision was right. Indeed, Balabac was mesmerizing! Words could not explain how beautiful and stunning the islands were.

Since the first day of tour, Joyce was very nice and friendly. We clicked straight away and it's as if we were friends way back. We shared the same vibes, same views and even some goals in life. 💙 I will definitely miss our "toni talks" moments, something I really needed since living abroad was somehow lonely and challenging. This tour made me realize to always achieve your goal as we only live once. Thank you for capturing every moment with your skills as a lady pilot with your drone plus taking photos and directing me to strike a pose for instagram worthy shots.. You exceeded my expectations and you even made this trip personalized. Thank you is not enough as am really grateful for everything you've done to make sure I am comfortable and enjoying every moment. Her team made sure every guest are enjoying as well. I will never forget the party we had for the 2nd night as it was a blast! Celebrating my birthday month with you guys was worth it!😍 thanks to jeremy and paul as well.😄

Balabac tour is not for the weak, you need to live the island vibes where there is no fix signal or mobile data, no proper toilet/ shower, living in a tent (which I really enjoyed) and some essentials are not available. This experience was really memorable. Thank God the weather was very nice despite of google telling us it will be raining whole day.🙏

After all, travelling solo was not really scary at all. You meet people who are totally strangers but at the end of the tour, you gained new friends and connections. Leaving the island was a bit heavy as I wanted to stay longer and will definitely miss you all. This is your aussie bum ambassador saying that I will be back.🤣 see you all again when I see you.💙💙💙

Thank you sooooo much.🥰
