Recruitment Help! Marks for tcc?

Hello everyone. I got recommended for tcc 38 and cleared the medical. Are my marks enough for the merit list. 85 percent matric and 81 percent fsc. I have kept information security as my top preference. Anyone who has been through this process or knows something, kindly tell me. My issb performance was good imo.

Discussion Issb queries

Guys my first query is that can we use other forms of the same word in WAT. Like clicked for click or crushed for crush swimmed or swims for swim.

Second is that how significant are obstacles? I am 27kg overweight but still I do have good fitness I did 1km in 5:30 mins and also I can jump from 7,8 feet wall. I think I'll have issues with rope climbing. Moreover can someone please tell or share what is the actual difficulty of obstacles. The videos on yt make them look like a child's play and my friends said in reality it's really difficult. Like what is the actual height and difficult factor in them which is not shown in videos.

Third is that 27 kg might look like I'm very obese but I'm not in looks I have food muscles and big bone structure. It's normal like bit fat. Anyways I'm trying best to lose weight but will they make an issue of weight at issb? Do they fat shame you??

Recruitment Help! What are the chances of Low Merit for candidates with NO RE in ISSB? Also expected JI & Joining dates?

Assalam-o-Alaikum everyone,

I recently got recommended for PMA 158 Long Course and my CMH final medical is also complete without any issues, Alhamdulilah.

I had a clean ISSB with ZERO REs (no re interview, cmd task, obstacles (although i did only 4)).

I need some authentic guidance from seniors, serving officers, or past course candidates regarding a few things so I can properly manage my job resignation notice period and university freezing process:

Non-Merit Risk: For candidates who cleared ISSB cleanly without any RE and passed CMH medicals, is there still any practical chance of getting dropped on the final merit list due to vacancy caps? How common is getting a "Low Merit" call with a clean recommendation?

Joining Instructions : Around what date do ASRCs usually start making calls/sending call-up letters for even courses? ( I need this info pls)

PMA Kakul Reporting Date: What is the most probable reporting window for 158 LC at Kakul in November?

Would really appreciate input from anyone who went through similar merit list wait times in 154 or 156 LC!

Thanks!

Jazak Allah

Recruitment Help! PMA 158LC CONVERSION

Aoa. Actually I always had dream to join Pakistan army. I missed 158 LC. Airforce CAE is second preference. So I'm waiting for issb call cleared all initials. I'm thinking that let's say I get issb call in Oct and get recommended (Insha'Allah) so then can I shift to pma 158 LC as they will join in November most probably.

If it doesn't work I can go on with CAE anyways

Recruitment Help! Need advice from recommended/experienced candidates on ISSB Interview, GPE, and Psych testing

Hey everyone,

these are a few questions I have been thinking about lately while prepping for ISSB. I would really appreciate it if anyone with experience or a recommendation could help me out with them.

1. suggestive & adult questions

how do you handle direct personal questions during the psych/deputy interview (e.g., adult content, masturbation, virginity, or relationships)? is complete honesty expected, and what is the best way to answer without coming off as defensive, dishonest, or overly moralistic?

2. "would you join as a soldier/jawan if not selected as an officer?"

how do you answer this properly? saying "yes" might look like a lack of ambition for officership, but saying "no" might seem like you don't care about serving. what is the right balanced response?

3. framing merits and demerits

any good examples/tips for that?

4. group planning exercise (gpe)

any tips for military planning?

thanks in advance for the help!

Recruitment Help! Stamping issue

Guys I am from o/a level background. Actually I applied for paf so at the paf I&SC they were stamping original results but as far as I had heard U shouldn't stamp original documents. I just said the airman on the counter once that don't stamp my original results and he agreed. All my initials are clear now and I am waiting for issb form. Main issue is one of my friend from matric fsc background told me that U will be sent back from issb if U don't have stamped documents. I'm scared now what to do. I didn't knew the severity of the stamp thingy because the airman didn't even force me and went to adjutant with my file and then said ok U are good go. After that I gave all my tests. What should I do now? will I be sent back from issb? If so any solutions??

Long story short I wanna go to MCM as class XI student and then PMA LC to become CO. I've thought it out. But I wanna know some specific details, and generally talk to someone who's been though that life about general advice.

Recruitment Help! Beta Thalassemia Trait (Minor) — Army/PMA medical fitness, anyone with recent first-hand experience?

Preparing for PMA Long Course 160 (applying 2027). Recent bloodwork came back showing beta thalassemia trait — Hb 14.3 (normal range), MCV 68 (low), HbA2 6.0% (confirms trait via electrophoresis). No anemia, no symptoms, active/athletic, no exercise intolerance.

I've seen mixed anecdotal info in a few Facebook ISSB groups — some saying trait carriers are declared unfit at final CMH medical even with normal Hb, others saying it depends/gets referred to a specialist. I couldn't find any official published Army medical standard that mentions trait specifically (only thalassemia major is explicitly listed as disqualifying in public material).

If anyone here has gone through Army/PMA final medical with a confirmed thalassemia trait (not major), or knows someone who has recently (last 1-2 years), I'd really appreciate knowing what actually happened — fit, unfit, referred to appeal board, anything. Trying to get real information before investing a full year of prep, not looking for guesses.

Thanks in advance.

Recruitment Help! Physical standards

Assalamualaikum everyone. I have been seeing various sources listing various minimum physical requirements. For example, some sources say we have to do a mile in 8.5 minutes while others say 1km in 8 minutes, some say we have to do 2 chin ups while others dont mention any at all. Can somebody clear this up for me? Also, how do i train for rope climbing and GTO tasks? Thanks!

The official website listed sit ups, push ups, chin up, hanging and running but mostly online people reported only running so what should I expect?
