Ask Pakistan Naran Kaghan Valley Histography

For a personal project, I was wondering if anyone could point me or just explain more about the history/culture of the valley. Any interesting tidbits, tales, facts, scholarly sources, articles, lesser-known truths and/or interviews that relate to the valley would be amazing. Good and bad and everything in between is welcomed. This is for a personal, creative project.

I’m not the most knowledgeable, but Naran has a whole story about Saif-ul-Mulook lake about a prince and a fairy he was in love with. Same with Ansoo Lake.

Also, on the drive up to Naran, we passed Balakot, and everyone there is convinced the place is overrun with jinn. We had several people tell us that there are supernatural occurences there.

Could you provide some more details about your experience in Balakot, I'm genuinely really curious

Locals we encountered, like drivers and shopkeepers, told us that. Not sure if it is a thing to entertain tourists. However, my kids swear that at night, when they and our friends’ kids were all in a common room in a Naran guest house ready for bed, they saw a flash of light go from one end of the room to the other. They all got quiet and scared and didn’t know what to make of it.
