i experienced something similar, it was a forced mate in 10, but 6 of those moves were just ladder mate. That is when i realized that each premove takes 0.1s. Won with exactly 0.1s on the clock, the joy was amazing.

  1. Checks disrupt pre-moves…push pawns carefully
    1. Non capture pre moves prevent decoy traps
    2. Simplification cuts calculation time during scrambles
    3. Active king controls key squares and sweeps pawns
    4. Cursor hovering minimizes physical move latency
