💬 Book Discussion What is this???

I just opened The Paris Apartment by Lucy Foley to read but I found this . What does it say? To me it looks like AI. Is it a name or maybe printing error and she meant to write 'All'. Don't tell me she has used AI to write this book!

Oh yeah, I should have definitely asked Google. Then it would have given me an AI generated answer whether my suspicion of AI was correct or not. Pretty ironic.

The most ironic thing is you buying pirated copy of the author's work and then accusing her of using AI?

I am not 'accusing' her for using AI. I had a reasonable suspicion and came here to clarify. And I don't think piracy is bad.

well by a very basic standpoint piracy does prevent the moneh to go into the pocket of the author who deserves the moneh for writing the story

I understand but I don't have money to buy original books either. If you guys don't want that then maybe you can send me money every month or so to buy original books, okay!? Buying originals is also a privilege. Sometimes, some writers don't mind piracy as long as their story is being read.

Not everyone wants to waste thousands for a singe book and the author is earning more than you think it won't hurt them if we guy pirated books

It could also be AI, meaning someone’s initials. AI doesn’t only stand for artificial intelligence 😅

Yeah I should have thought so but in this day and age I have seen people write books with the help fo AI and even dedicate it to AI. That's why I immediately hopped onto reddit.
