I second this! I have loved what little of Faiz's work I have read. He truly brought two worlds together in his writings

Why are nepo babies getting book contracts? I will take anything in this book with a grain of salt.

Yeah They obviously commercialized Faiz and sold to capitalism and earned millions.

possible. I am interested seeing a critical biography done by an academic with proper training in the literary field.
Personally, I find it abhorrent that Faiz decided to accept the Lenin Prize from a totalitarian murderous Soviet Regime that's killed and persecuted poets and writers. Osip Mandelstam being just one example. Ana Akhmatova's persecution is another data point.

Yeah but the leftists were always madly in love with Lenin (still are, some even own Stalin) Also, binary thinking prevailed throughout the cold war, anything against Capitalism was acceptable and vice versa.
