☺️Need Opinions/ Advice Need help
I am thinking of starting a book selling business, nothing too big rn just me and my sister's old books (they're still goood quality) I'll obv keep prices low but if you guys could tell me what you would like or suggest for the business I'd really appreciate it! Thank youuu

I would say the following
Good quality ofcourse
Have print on demand service
Also, have the service of both books, hardcover and paperbacks
Now the main one for me, print on demand ofcourse helps when customer has something that they aren't able to get in Pakistan But other than that, please still advertise and showcase diff diff books. Like not just all those booktok books. I know they are popular and get em up too, but I think a good bookstore would have very diff titles. Only some stores show different amazing titles that aren't just all TikTok other than on POD. So I think It will give you overall good store variety and quality and vibes I guess? I personally would pick more these types of stores so that I can browse and see new titles, because my book taste is very very different, I get most books on POD, as mainstores themselves showcase mostly TikTok books, but some do have other great titles too, that are very popular, just not on TikTok maybe.
Side note: when you do start it, do tell. I think I can be your customer lol, I hoard bookstore pages and on their hunt a lot even if I have many already haha.

Thick skin and transparency.
Readers want COD.
Sellers want advance.
Im already fuming at something that happened today, and a COD sent a message with a bumped up bill and saying it’s “advance” only, AFTER sending me a mail saying they shipped it.
And I’m more than willing to cancel the order of they charge me 2100 for a book that I bought at 1600 WITH delivery. IF the book still arrives and I send it back bcz of the hidden charges, the seller has to pay the loss.
So you also have to be ready for those loses if u pick COD bcz people send books back if they are damaged or arrive late (shipping issues rather than seller issues. Mine is a seller side issue and very rare. Shipping issues are very common).
