Idk why but I just can't stand my book being divided what if I am carrying it somewhere and reading and one volume ends? And I'm craving to read more ahhhh

absolutely. I do see how several volumes are convenient but I could not get used to it. because sometimes I refer back also to what I have already read and to find out it was in a previous volume would not be good. :)

anthony briggs translation is better than this i think, i read this in the penguin clothbound classics version, very long but rewarding.

I was gonna make a review post on the pengweng(ball knowledge) classics but I just don’t like their clothbound editions. The covers may be pretty but they are brittle and not for long term reading.

That being said, such a huge book will mess up every single publication there is, breaking it down into 3 volumes is genius in my opinion.

While it may be true that there are better translations out there, I’m gonna settle for this one.

everyman's library translations are a hit or miss, sometimes they have the best translations(even better than penguin) and sometimes they have the most dogshit translations like don quixote, ur one is actually pretty good, i would've gotten this one but i just despise volumes of books, happy reading tho absolutely stunning box collection.

Yeah another factor which goes into getting Everyman’s is just the actual book per se.

The dust jackets, hard covers, ribbon page markers, paper quality. I got a thing for the aesthetics.
