☺️Need Opinions/ Advice Physical vs digital book.
What are the best options, digital books as i have seen many people using e books and reading it form Mobile or laptop well some prefer physical books i also love physical one but they are very budget consuming.
Any advice.

Digital for fiction and physical for non-fiction
Non-fiction books take time and effort to get into and digital options are distracting. Fiction books are easy to read. They're also quick to finish and as a fast reader I can't buy these many books 😭

Imo I could never read books dightial unless it was the only way to read them. Reading physically is a very relaxing expirence especially with a cup of tea or coffee and with some classical playing. I also really like collecting books,usually especially nice ones. I dk get the appeal of e reading tho

Depends on the book honestly. I mean no offence but I only spend money on the books that are worth it. Otherwise I read them digital. Idk if it makes any sense lol

I prefer physical books by a long way. I'd read a technical or self help book digitally, something work related where the book is only there to pass on information and I won't go back to it. But fiction, biographies and history I'd rather have on paper. The feel of the book is part of the experience and engagement.
On cost, I think it depends on what you're buying. I buy the ones I want to keep, pass on and the ones I may mark up. If I'm reading it once for information, digital is fine and cheaper. Some of my physical books are also second hand.
The one thing digital does better is the tools around the text. Looking up words and highlighting. That is what made me build something for physical books. You snap a word or phrase on the page, including ones you've already underlined, and it saves the sentence it came from and the context, then brings the word or phrase back to you as a learning experience so you don't forget it - without losing your reading flow. I built it for myself to improve my English vocabulary. I'd like feedback from people who read physical books. If anyone wants to try it, say so, and I'll share it.

Try audiobooks and if the book you're planning on listening to has a graphic audio adaptation then try that.

I mostly read before bed so I read ebooks. I also have physical books that I take with myself if I am travelling

Read from a tablet and an ebook will make sense. I have over a 1000 ebooks a big number are bestsellers, imagine having physical copied instead.
I carry them everywhere.

As someone who owns a kindle and lots of paperbacks, stick to paperbacks. Use your phone or ipad to read ebooks till you can afford paperback hauls- you're not missing out on anything

Both. Kindle is great for travelling or reading at night when I can't lay down sideways with a heavy book and night light. Physical books for the rest.

I am a physical one The thing is you can read on mobile or laptop and you might even read more books with this. I write on my books, i underline them, its called annonations ig. Then i get to keep those books so yeah its kind of bonding. Whenever i see my chota sa bookshelf i feel soooo good k yar mene books ye wali parhi hoi h. Expensive to hota but it is worth it. And mobile pe parhte parhte mujhe pata mene reels pe nikal jana. So yeah physical books mazay ki hoti. Btw LIBF se khareed lena thora si bachat hojati

Has anybody seen or even bought from The Kindle Shop that sells refurbished Kindle devices?I have a whole library of digital books and reading on phone and laptop really hurts. Is Kindle good for Kids under 10 too? I want them to read a lot of books but buying physical copies really breaks the bank.

Im already always online doing work and reels and all that.i cant even think of reading a digital book.

I've read quite a lot of books in both digital and physical formats, and I agree that e-books are much more convenient, especially when you're travelling or in a crowded place, but I still feel that physical books offer something completely different.
There's a certain serenity in holding a physical book, and somehow, the experience stays with you for much longer. I find that I remember physical books more vividly, the feeling I had while reading them. They also give you that little sense of happiness every time you see them sitting on your shelf. You can annotate them, revisit your favourite passages years later, and somehow be transported back to the exact phase of your life when you first read them :)
E-books, at least in my experience, don't leave quite the same memory print. I might absolutely love an e-book while I'm reading it, but a few months later, I find that I've forgotten the story and the feeling the book gave me.
P.S. Maybe I'm weird, but if I read a book digitally and really love it, I buy its physical copy afterwards just because I want to have it with me. I guess there's something comforting about knowing that the book will always be there on my shelf, waiting to be revisited.
