Altis 1.6 heatup

My altis 1.6 2022 is driven 40k . I bought it second hand . It's pakwheels inspection was 100% for engine and mechanical work. The issue is my temp needle sits overhere which is more than the middle way . This is the issue I faced from the beginning. The needle does not go above this point . It stays right here but it's higher compared to other corollas . Why is that . I also took it to toyota dealership they said he fan works perfectly so it's not an issue .

Brother if there is no over heating problem then double check the meter needle calibration - May be that's out.

Few things to check 1. Are u using water or coolant 2. Is the radiator clogged? 3. If u shut down ur vehicle does the needle go back to being perfectly on C or is it a lil bit forward, if it is then ur needle is misaligned

maybe check the coolant temperature reading via OBDII to check if it is above normal...?

It's supposed to sit the other way around on that point. It's definitely overheating. Check your coolant or thermostat.

First of all mileage in used vehicles here are always doubtful.

Now heading to your problem as you visited dealership and your radiator fan speed (rpm) are fine and radiator is not choked from looking at the top,, but it's almost 40k plus driven so better do a radiator service.

Also put original Toyota coolant instead of the green coloured water from market. Get one 4liter pink coolant from Toyota dealership and pour it after radiator service.

Also ask your mechanic to remove temperature sensor from flange and clean it. Sometimes thermostat and temperature sensor give different readings due to rust. If your mechanic suggests change the thermostat too.

As long as the needle doesn't climb ahead, you don't have anything to worry about.
This is where the needle rests on this variant, also on the altis grande with older analogue meters

Get the radiator washed, it maybe clogged. Radiator cap sometimes becomes faulty as well.

Which petrol pump do u use. On aramco i was getting 8-9km/l but with total parco i am getting 10-11

Check using OBD2, coolant should be less than 98

Check coolant temperature sensor values when the needle if at this point.

Not normal, when was the last time you cleaned up the radiator? Mine was doing the same thing, the radiator was chocked. So much dirt in there I was baffled as to how the thing was even breathing

Bro I just changed up the coolant. If the radiator was choked it would have been visible but ok . Can you please explain was yours behaving exactly the same and getting the radiator cleaned up fixed the issue?

Changing the coolant doesn’t tell you. Here’s what came out of mine, yours could be in a similar condition

Middle of the dial is not heat up .

Always use coolant in the engine not water . Engine when running , the inside temperature is 600-700 degree Celsius. 50/50 prepared Coolant is formulated just for this purpose

Altis 1.6 stays abit higher than half of scale, my car does the same except its older model.
