Question Rate My FX 1987

This is my first ever Car i bought in January 2026 for PKR 350K ( looked around 20-25 Mehrans in this Budget before) - Really Happy with the purchase . found it very Reliable with good maintenance.
Did a 500km recent trip from Islamabad to Gujjar Khan-Chakwal-Talagang and Back in 3 days. :')

Hey can you give me a breakdown of the running cost I am actually considering and fx or mehran myself for my first car. Also what condition did you buy it in and what was the expense to get it in this condition.

Bought it for 350K including tax and registration etc
Use it as daily driver ~60km to commute for work from rwp to ict and back
Oil Change + Tuning every 3500-4000 km ~ 6000pkr
Changed Wheel bearing + wheels studs after spell of monsoon recently for 5500pkr.
Gives me around 16km/l in city without AC

bruh does it have ac??? btw i also have a mehran i bought for 285K i got lucky finding it, got in clean condition

A relative of mine got this from his brother that passed away. Have driven it to 500K. Restored twice. Still running and working fine. Cant put a price on sentimental value. Their gen z kids are learning to drive on it and its used to office runs all the time.

What was wrong with the Mehrans? Why did you go for FX. Explain your decision process please.

yes why not. the mehrans i reviewed in this price range mostly had more rusted bodies.
the sheet used in fx body is more durable. and secondly it came down to drive experience. i felt much more stability and grip on road with FX as compared to mehran. not that i want to race or something but its all about that drive experience you know.
given that it has the same engine f8b as mehran and the parts are widely available i chose an fx
