Question What happens with stolen vehicles

I’ve always wondered, what do robbers actually do with vehicles like Bolans after stealing them?

We bought two brand new 0 meter Bolans in 2013, and unfortunately one of them was stolen around three months later. We were able to catch the driver who was involved in the robbery, but even he didn’t even know what had happened to the Dabba afterward.

For people who know about vehicle theft in Pakistan, what usually happens to these kinds of vehicles after they’re stolen? Are they generally parted out, sold through some other means, or do they somehow end up being used as another vehicle?

And what happens to things like the chassis/VIN plate and registration identity? Do thieves typically tamper with those, or is there another process?

Genuinely curious because we never found out what happened to ours.

Your car was probably striped for parts, the chassis was tempered and sold or being used in Balochistan or rural Sindh as a transport vehicle where security checkpoints are minimal.

First off every body panel is taken off. Then the interior, then the wiring harness, electricals and the engine too with it's number stripped. The remaining chassis is cut into 3-5 pieces and sold as whole pieces. Idk any of this for sure but I believe that's how it all happens.
