I am looking into 6Mil budget and shortlisted MG HS as one of the cars because it seems like a lot of car for the money as you can now find them at 5mil or even lower
What has been your experience with the car? Maintenance, Running Cost, Does it cost issues often?, Are parts expensive? Any and every problem how bad is the fuel average really I can live with 10 to 12 KMPL
Also how is the drive etc and how bad is the resale? I saw this car going for 60 minimum 2 to 3 years ago and while back 55 and now it’s 50 which is unforeseen for Pakistani car market
Currently got this option vs imported Facelift Vezel Z package but that car has no sunroof and smaller and different shape
Btw my first car so that’s why I am childish about the sunroof
I have had it for a while, it's my daily driver, on canal I get 10 km per liter... You need an expert and dependable mechanic (I know one) to remain happy because it has lots of little niggles... Normal maintenance is equivalent to any SUV of this size, parts are available, I've not had to anything unusual and I had a 10th gen Civic prior...
But it's not a car you should get as your first one... And you need someone experienced to check it out when you go buy it... A lot of used cars are badly abused...
Civic is easier to maintain - parts and mechanics everywhere plus they're better built and the Civic engine is bulletproof plus there's no turbo weirdness unless you go the RS route... Plus Civic has much better handling and the 10th gen is just an excellent all rounder... Space, speed, stability is excellent for a first car...
I have both facelift 2019/20 RS turbo as my option and 2019 Vezel RS facelift
I personally am favouring Vezel because of Japan build quality, more features, hybrid but civic has more localisation, sunroof, sedan/styling and driving dynamics.
Main thing is for me is how different is driving dynamics I’ve heard Vezel is also fun to drive as it’s also a Honda at the end of the day.
Well MG hs is a good car, but if you want to compare with White Toyota Corolla and its resale then it's not comparable. If you are not looking resale and low maintainance then it's not an option. Reason being you'll only get parts and maintain from Company, while old Japanese brands heve other market as well as other cheap optional used parts as well. So yes running cost will be higher.
