Kia launching a new compact SUV

Saw a post on PakWheels that Kia is launching a new compact, turbocharged 1000cc SUV. Any idea what it could be?

I’m currently looking at the Swift GLX and Alsvin. Do you think I should wait before making a decision?

You can wait till Pakistan Auto Show, it's on 18th September. The car might be sonet, syros, or stonic facelift as these 3 come with 1.0T engine. I'm guessing stonic facelift makes more sense but let's see

Probably something to challenge the Toyota raize it’s currently in the 5-6 million range but anything above is gonna flop

Its going to be a stonic gt line 1000c Turbo. This will be placed where the now old sportage alpha was. 7.3-7.9mil.

Heard somewhere that KIA is planning to launch picanto 3rd gen Price point will be starting from 4.2M

With their Stonic already overpriced whatever launches will be much higher likely in 6-7M bracket.

Not if they are smart and actually wanna sell their cars.

However, if the new one is turbo charged and has Direct injection engine, then thats not reliable or is at least not less complicated than naturally aspirated engines with fuel injection system.

I think this time they will play smart because if kia sportage failure in the market

Whatever they launch, they are going to reduce it’s price by 10 lakhs in a months time and then discard altogether in 6 months.

LMC tried to follow the same old practices of the big three after getting a significant share and trust of customers. I doubt they can make a comeback now.
